We're hitting THB and well, everyone else on our battle tab because you guys and a whole bunch of others decided to take out our base repeatedly, because of some sort of higher moral ground or some #&$#, that certain people(again, not from your legion) can't be bothered to put into words that make sense, which at the end of the day no one actually cared about.... SO WE KNOW THAT HITTING THB OR ANY OTHER LEGION WILL RESULT IN RETALIATION... But that isn't what this thread is about.

So please, re-read it if you have the time, and place yourself in a position, wherein you've never done anything to a player, but that player hates you for "no reason", and just prevents you from playing with constant spamming of arti's against you... and yes there are a lot more of these types than you would think.

Oh, in case you missed it this time Leon.... THIS THREAD IS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF THE PLAYERS CURRENTLY INVOLVED IN THE SMACKDOWN OCCURRING BETWEEN OUR LEGION AND YOURS.

I give props to the THB members who are actually fighting back, and are doing so, shall we say, in a polite manner(yes you can politely play this game and still be a badass mutha who gets thousands of player kills), and just keeping things to badges/returning like for like numerous raids/hacks against us.

People like Negron(my only example i can use from THB, sorry people out of my range, i'm sure you're all nice too ), i have time for, i enjoy the comms i get from him, and he won't make a bother of himself in an asshole way if he can see i'm online. I don't know if that is because i just get his persona, or because we try to maintain a level of civility and maturity.

i have seen some good idea's 1 announced by tree and another was announced that i gave a +1 to witch was a mission type that gave a artifact dan could use it as a chain final if he wished to

let keep it civil and all have fun and good thing i am only badge hunting or poor capzi would of been disabled by me 3 times so far in like a 4 hour period dan need to add more people in my range man capzi shows up faster then any other players and it lucky i reconise his name or he be getting hit every time by mistake lol

So this is actually saying if you sit disabled, when you repair you will go on the battle tab immediately. If it has been for a long time you will be at the top. Since the player he is accusing has a limited number of people on his battle tab then it is perfectly feasible and even expected that he will be at the top of the list. No cheating no spies no hacking of the game mechanics, just a paranoid individual that can't see the wood for the trees.

Repair, play the game as you would stop wrongly accusing people.. The person you keep accusing has hit you 2 times in 2 months, how is that harassment?

He had moved on, shame you haven't as now bringing the accusations again will cause him to hit you more frequently. sigh...

I don't repair for days but he just happens to see me right after I repair almost immediately within a 12 hour period of time while he plays ? Btw it's been a lot more than twice. I don't know where you get your information ... nvm I do.

I know if I was looking for someone that I wouldn't be on that much to see them and they would have plenty of time to play without having to worry about me hitting them.

umm am i not correct this is a worthy of a ban from forums??? as i do not see the need for a mod to come in and see a person insulting and name calling and locking a thread over something allot of us are agreeing on i know i am now blocking this guy he will be the 1st person blocked on forums and will never get off of it

There have been times over the past two years when I've quite possibly been harassed more than anyone else in this game.

I've been hounded in game, virtually daily, for months and months on end.

I've had the most absolute vilest things you can imagine, that no one should ever have to read, sent to me both via in-game comms and on personal messages in Facebook.

I've had people threaten to show up where I live in real life, and even go so far as to contact members of my extended family (before I set them to "Only Me") and threaten them as well, all over an imaginary spaceship.

And yet, with all that, I still do NOT think hiding from these misogynists and bigots would have served any purpose other than to embolden them to continue to do so to others.

Stand up to them. Don't put up with it. Out them in game and on the forums. Report them to Facebook if webguydan ignores the issue.

Plain and simple, DON'T TOLERATE IT, and the community here won't either.

Should this thread turn to being off topic, I ask that the moderators delete the posts off topic instead of just locking the thread.

Harassment through Facebook chats is easy. There is a block option and you can contact Facebook and/or the law if stuff gets out of hand.

Dan doesn't have anything for if a player is sitting and hitting your ship over and over preventing you from doing anything unless you have a calming amp on. Which PvP and planet stealing is a big part of this game so just calming amp/ halc isn't a viable long term solution unless you really love to just NPC.

you sit there disabled for days in a row
that means you are highly likely to show up on his bt as soon as you repair.
not many he can see so theres not a whole lot of competition for those slots on his bt.
and hes most likely not staring at his bt if hes online, but probably npcing.
which means keeping the bt refreshed fairly often.
repair like normal an keep playing, ignore it, or halc up. And most importantly shut up.

ive been harassed before (not hardcore i admit) when dan begins to handle these issues for us is when the game goes down in quality. it sucks but the good intention of this idea will be abused until the game is ruined

Two things:

1) I think it is sick that Anna and others have taken abuse to the extent of being personally threatened, and even threats to related/friends of those people. Absolutely makes me sick....I like the "war" aspect of this game, but some people are freaking crazy, and take it too far. I would say more, but it's not worth it. Chill the heck out people.

2) I absolutely agree with Anna here (no I'm not being a #*&$, and I see both sides) but from what I know regarding this particular situation...and most others like this....the medicine prescribed is usually a hopped up version of the one they were handing out samples of.

I'm not going to say any more, and I DO NOT stand for harassing others beyond the game (or otherwise over the "limit" of what may be considered ruining the game for a player). In fact, on several...many occasions I have gone out of my way to break down the walls between these types of players and their personal anger towards each other. I was successful many times, and in a couple, not so much. The instances where the involved didn't come to agree and honor the truce if it was made, was a result of the "offended" or "victim" not willing to make amends.

That said, the "victim" has every reason to be pissed off in most cases as these things can become brutal. I don't think they should be allowed to escalate to that point, and result in the loss of great active players in this game. What is a good way to prevent this from happening? I don't have the answer, but Dan and the TOS have already given guidelines regarding harassment. My best advice is - to contact the appropriate individuals in the event you are being harassed to this extreme. If it is personal threats of physical harm, contact FB directly, and possibly the authorities. If it is in-game harassment, report it to Dan. We all know damn well Dan does not want active players quitting for this type of stuff. However...if you are the "aggressive" type, and things escalate, remember what is so often said....yes folks, this IS in fact a war game. Not "real" war though...remember also...it is a GAME.

Harassment? On Galaxy Legion? Never! The guilty should be made to wear a gimp suit while Dan, in nothing but a black leather thong beats them with a dead cat..... This is what i'm saying....I be be your best friend in the game, or your worst enemy, doesn't matter if we are on the same side or not. Every offensive action you take, has the consequence of you getting it back. That's why Dan had the actions system in place. If you search me out on the BT, attack me and disable me daily, try to zero me while i'm offline, I will make your life hell in this game for as LONG as i wish. I truly believe in just simple badging and moving on, I have never been the one to farm people, unless they deserve it, unlike the almighty Blitz up there who built his stats on farming people over and over and deserves EVERYTHING he gets in the game, other than that, i love everyone.....

This is slightly off topic, but still in keeping with part of the solution. I am mentioning this not just because it is my pet petition I have made repeatedly, but because Dan has said he is entertaining the idea already. One possible solution to such hyper aggression is an official War Mode or Battle Arena. Something that has a defined BEGINNING AND ENDING along with who WON; so there can be no political spinning or flaming. The facts would speak for themselves. Dan said he envisions a "sandbox" type of fight. In other words, when you agree to climb in the ring, everyone knows EXACTLY what they are signing up for. All of us crazy people who would like to see even more brutality in the game (like being able to target and break enemy ship mods- "fire on the engine core!" ), would be put into a spot where we all know the risks. With all the super egos and OCDs in one spot, the rest of you normal folks should be able to play in relative safety. hahaha

Now back to the main topic. Annabell and Ko-Chan do make good points. I don't know anyone in the game who has really gone nuts for absolutely no reason. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I am just saying I am not aware of it. Most of the folks I know who start spam bombing or CMing do so only after they themselves feel like they have been pushed and bullied. They reached the, "I won't take this sh#t any more" stage and decided to make their attacker's life miserable. I am not sure that qualifies as harassment.

[*] This applies to anyone who is being harassed,not just blitz. Although the other ones are at him There are many strategies for dealing with people harassing you, but I just use not giving a #&$#. If someone disables you while you are on then set traps, repair, and continue playing. If they want to keep disabling you then let them until you are completely zeroed. Yep disabled and all, that will give you a 24 hour free pass to do whatever you want. But shadow, then i cant pvp without raising my action count.If you get some perseverance eventually the person will get tm locked, run out of energy, or even give up.

[*] The way you are whining on these forums is god damn annoying, and its only proving to your attackers that they are getting to you and they can keep doing what they're doing.( Frankly I don't blame them in your scenario )

[*] This could potentially be the most important point. Do not sit disabled for days at a time! Dan himself said that the longer you are disabled the higher you are on the bt list, and you sit disabled for days at a time.
