The thing with Alien Data Disks and Androids is that they have pretty much infinite use... Ship bots /technically/ do, but nobody should really push their decks past 4400 and as such these are the ones that need a CTLab use.

But seriously, EVERYBODY needs money. There's a few sweet spots where your income vastly out-does your expendature, but once you reach rank 1600 or so, planet colonisation/invasion is stupidly expensive and requires a huge income.
