I like many of us check my best planets often and good planets on occasion...

When someone finds one of our our swipe worthy planets we have two possibilities commonly used -

the flux tracer to see who it is

the temp flux aka soft flux

temp fluxes can be time n energy consuming to get in enough quantity if you had a bunch of folks out there whose scanners seemed to be tuned to your planets...

we all prioritize I am sure, e.g. you flux the 10x before the 4x, or maybe you flux the one with 4-5 scanners on it before the one with 1-2...

i'd like to see another artifact added in game - a improvement to the flux tracer....

name none comes to mind
effect - in addition to telling you who scanned your planet it tells you if they are active or when last on line (letting you draw the conclusion to how active they are).

I don't see any disruption to game play with this effect, at most it might make people more savvy about what planets they flux which might affect how much time a player has to conquer them but thats it. Flip side is more players would have peace of mind on what planets they soft flux in a particular order.

make it a ct lab creation or a repeatable mission would be my suggestion...

Okay, I'm not sure I really understand what good this will do. Let's say you check a planet once a week. Last time it was checked there was no one else that scanned it, and when you check it now there are 2 others. You already know that those 2 scanned it during the last week and they must be active. So if you are really checking the planet often, then wouldn't anyone else that scans the planet be active? Wouldn't you flux it right away? Guess I just need more information before I can conclude that this would be useful.

its a limited value concept, which is geared towards higher rankers in all likelihood to be honest.

I have roughly 250 planets.

Of those, about roughly 80 get scanned 1-2 times a week. Another 50 or so I'll scan on occasion as I think about it and want to clear cargo space (4k flux probes). Just because I know someone found it does not mean i've devoted the effort to cleaning the list right away (bases do keep asking to be hit amongst other things)

Sometimes i'll find out planets A, B and C have been scanned since my last check or perhaps i was working on getting a temp flux already and i find out instead of 1 or 2 good planets on someone else's scan i now have 3 or 5...

idea behind the artifact is to help prioritize which planet you flux first.

If you have one planet with a couple of scanners who are inactive vs one planet with a active scanner, odds are you'd flux the one with the active scanner (or rather odds are thats the one you should be worrying most about getting hit).

sorry if I was vague in explaining the concept.

Thanks for the added explanation. Makes more sense now. Let me rephrase it a bit to be sure I got it right.

With more planets comes a higher likelihood that one gets scanned by another player. And realistically even at higher ranks you can only get so many TFOs a week (even if you do nothing else). So it may take 2-4 weeks before you flux it, and in the mean time more of your planets get scanned. So you want to be sure to flux the ones with a greater risk first. Risk being number of others that scanned it, their rank, and how active they are (which unless you know them you'd only be able to tell if they are active not how active). To that I would add how big their legion is, since a low rank alerting the planet for a higher rank to take is a possibility, but we can't see what legion they are in (so it remains an unknown).

Since the higher your rank the more planets you have, this is something that would be more useful as your rank increases. I would have no objections to this (nor to having more ways to get a TFO).

I think that knowing whether the player is active (logged in within the last 7 days) is fine. Showing when they were last online is not (there are some big privacy issues here).
