 about base disables?

Can someone please explain to me how base disables work? my base has been disabled quite a few times, but never within 5 minutes, and especially not by a legion with only 8 members (and only one of that is above level 90), with an average strength of about 2300.

Any explanation would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm going to presume that you were online; which is why it would have surprised you.

If the average strength is that high in a legion that small odds are one of those ships makes up the gross power of the Legion with the other ships lowering his/her/its overall strength rating making the legion appear much weaker than it actually is. I'm also going to presume that you have a weak defense rating on your base which contributed to his quick disabling of your base.

Does that make sense?

Yeah I was working under the assumption they weren't a feeder.

that makes a lot of sense. but my base a higher defense rating then their average strength?

What I am explaining is this...

Player A has 100 strength
Player B has 50 strength
Average of A and B is 75.

Now imagine that but on a scale such as...

Player A has 20,000 strength
Player B has 1 strength
Average of A and B is (roughly) 10,000 strength.

Add... 6 more people and bam.

You've cloaked your actual strength.

That means that they have a battle pact with a Legion large and strong enough to disable you quickly and efficiently.

A legion can invite any other legion that they have a Battle Pact established with that is not already part of a lock on another base

There's not really any way to tell who that might be unless they trip a trap and you see a player name you recognise from the invited legion, or you convince someone to tell you who was involved.

8 players * 2400 strength = 19200 total strength which could mean 18000+ on one guy. (which seems pretty likely considering having a legion full ships with 2400 strength bellow 90 would be pretty impressive)

You said only one above 90, but does that mean 150 or 500? Without knowing the stats of your base or what buff you were running I can't really say for certain, but most basses get killed in minutes. In low level legions there's usually one strong guy who kills it himself and in high rank legions they coordinate to all it at the same time. Either way, you'll rarely see a base whittled down over the course of the full 8 hours.

The shields get too annoying if you need to pound the base for 8h. All legions surge at the certain time. Well... Some people to pound the base for 8h to use their Sha'din Data terminals, but that's different.
