Ok so upkeep tends to be 5% of the cost of an item, Does this mean that the game values EM at the following

Mineing Drone base Cost 2000 Credits +100 EM.

Upkeep 250,000

5% of 2000= 100

remaining upkeep =249900

Divide by 100, =2499

Times 20= 49,980 Credits ?

Does that work out?



Sub Quantum Harvester

Cost 3000 + 200 EM

upkeep =2.5 million

Values EM at 249,985 Each

and the Material Transporter seem to value it at

Upkeep=25 Million

1,666,653.33 each.

So why is the value of EM different as you go up the tech chain instead of a constant value?

What's the basis for this assumption?

The fact that on the wiki mathamaticly every single other items upkeep is 5% of its value.

There is no upkeep on planet structures. That's why you don't get any "recycling" money when you demolish stuff on planets.

These are base items which do have an upkeep.

Meh... Didn't really care to delve too deep into things, thought you guys were chatting about lowbie planet structures. My bad. Although I will point out that the game does have an official value for Exotic Matter. 1 EM = 1 EM.
