Hi, what about a small update/new type of mission chain(s) where each next chapter would be determined by voting on this forum from 3-4 options given by Dan?
Voting would last 7 or 10 days (while the previous chapter is active), would influence the story line and thus the mission rewards (pick from rewards solely based on artifact name ). What will left over as not implemented due voting results, would by useable in next mission chain.
Voting woud be covered by forum moderators.
Any thoughts?

Personally, I much prefer the in-game voting, currently being used for just this purpose in "A Fateful Decision".
I think in-game results should be driven by in-game votes, not a forum poll which gamers may or may not have access to, depending on their personal preferences.

Any thoughts? So long as it was separate from the regular fortnightly mission chains. The reason being, is that i'm under the impression that Dan writes these mission chains up, weeks before he puts them into play... so that all the coding is ready to go and everything... So for him to do this, he would need to wait for the results, before he could write up the next chapter, because to write it up beforehand would be extremely time consuming, if not impossible, when you consider if he had to write up a storyline, which could branch off in 4 separate ways... with every mission in the chain.

He probably has two mission chains planned or already written up, one where the ventar is saved and one where the expanse is spared, I'm guessing one would be used depending on what the in game voting results in and the other would be scrapped from the game's files.

Yes, it would be other type of mission chain(s). As kid I had some books, where I had to choose the action of main character and all options were covered in the same book already. It did require from the author more text to prepare etc. but it did allow me to the read the story several times with different outcome. Forum/in game voting - open to decide by Dan. The group of players in GL could be much bigger than players voting on this forum. Unless Dan would wish to prioritize this forum
