Mylarai mining base
Standard / Rare (same range as Lab pods)

a small mining base the Mylarai use on Volcanic planets

Rank: Matched (rank 300 to 2200)
Shields: 20.000
Hull: 2.000
Abilities: None
Attack: Scaled:
Defense: Scaled:
Cloak: 500
Rewards: common (75%) tectonic stabalizer, uncommon (20%) Mining equipment, Rare(5%) mining upgrade
Expires: After 24 Hours

tectonic stabalizer, Permanently increases the mining output of a Volcanic or Demon planet by 1.

Mining equipment, when used, you randomly get a Antimatter Drill (Size: 1, Mining: 1, Artifact 1, Attack: 400), Convoy Heat Seeker (Size: 1, Mining: 1, Population: 75. Bonus doubles on a Volcanic planet) or Mylarai Stripcore Mine (Size: 1, Mining: 4, Artifact: -2)

mining equipment upgrade, Permanently upgrades an Antimatter Drill, Convoy Heat Seeker or Mylarai Stripcore Mine on
your planet, and increases its bonuses by 50%, up to a maximum of a 100% upgrade.


why.....
with the new mining artifacts like Luring Cynosure, Acceleration Protocols, Uldri Recovery Capsule etc we have been getting some of the old once are getting a bit outdated, so an upgrade for those would be nice
also, atm Volcanic planets are quite useless compaired to just upgrading Toxic planets with Toxic Purifiers, so this might let players make a few nice x16 demon planets instead almost every mining planet in the game just beeing Toxic/Irradiated

I don't like this for the following reasons.

1. Why bother add another NPC that falls off at 2200?
2. There are plenty of other artifacts that are outdated and don't get upgrades.
3. Toxic Purifier (Uses Left: 2443) If you really need mining build more toxics. Even a poor built pure production one can produce 500+ MUH
4. We have gotten 5 elites/bosses in the last year. Most people can't even see them, and those who can won't be losing them in the next year.

1. simpel once you get to rank 1000+ you should have all the mining you need, but would give low rank players a way to actualy use the Volcanic planets they colonized before they found out how easy it is to upgrade Toxic planets

2. sure..... and ship systems as well
some of them Dan makes upgrades for, like the Korteth Twin-Blaster/Korteth Plating and Counter-Intelligence Nexus, Assimilation Locus, Barrier Nexus, Quantum Accelerator and even Obviation Barrier you can now upgrade with NPC/battle marked upgrades
so personaly I would like to see more upgrades for old structures/ship systems
Mylarai just = mining, so for me a mylarai NPC would be a natural place to get upgrades for some of the old mining systems

3. you are quite right, I also have around 500 Toxic Purifier saved up even after doing toxic upgrades for low rank legion members
so no we dont need another mining upgrade arifact as you can just make as many Toxic mining planets as you need
but what we dont have is a easy way to do something with Volcanic planets.....
this it not meant to give players even more mining planets, but instead to give them the oputunity to make both Toxic and Volcanic mining planets, instead of only making x15-16 toxic planets


4. we have gotten 5 new elite/boss NPC + 1 standart rank 2200 NPC, 5 Legion mission NPC, and a few new Season NPC's (both standart and elites) + the New NPC you can only get on scanner by using the Vortov's mecenary call ability in the last year or so to be presice
again, personaly I would like to see a lot more new NPC - I'm down to having only 5 or 6 common NPC's left, 10 to 15 uncommon and a hand full of boss/elite NPC's, so instead of 80% of my NPC's just beeing old borring Stryll Assassins, Crimson Flamehawks, Dark Runners, Rogue Tech Collectors or Sha'din Chargers I would like so see some New common/uncommon NPC to replace some of those I lost - the Mylalai mining base is just a start, but we cound use new rank 800+ common/uncommon for a lot of the NPC fractions

I actually like this idea.
Volcanic worlds at this point are completely useless and transforming them into demon worlds doesnt help much.
Personally, I think demon worlds are one of the coolest looking planets in the game, shame they suck.
The only way to uplift a volcanic is by using terraformers and who in their right mind would waste them on a volcanic?


Anyway, if not this idea, I think something should be put into the game to make demon worlds more valuable.

main difrence betwen Toxic/Irradiated and volcanics/demon worlds is you only get 15 Isolytic Irradiators but can make as many Thermionic Intensifier as you want in the TC lab

so as I see it, Irradiated planets should still be better then any Demon world you can make
so scaled the tectonic stabalizer after Planet Data Optimizer and limited it's use to volcanic/demon only

I'm not against limiting it to volcanic planets only, but again you dont have that limit on Planet Data Optimizer, with those you can simply turn a v-massiv gas planet Plasma and keep upgrading it.......
sure you limit your self to a max of x15 instead of x17, but for your first few plasma planets that is quite worth it, to get the extra space and +2 recearch asap to speed up your recearch early in the game, and you can always make more x17 Plasma planets later
was thinking in the same lines with the tectonic stabalizer, give low and medium rank players the oputunity to turn the planet Demon asap and still beeing able to upgrade it, what you lose from that is reducing the max of x16 down to a max of x15
but limiting it to volcanic planets is ok with me. it would still give them the uplift I think they need, you would just have to wait until they are at x15 before turning them demon if you want max efect


I dont like the idear that tectonic stabalizer increase "all available" resources by 1, that would simply make them a teraformer limited to Volcanic planets


also I'm not against having a NPC drop an artifact that could be used to increase mining from x15 to x20
but think that should be an extremly Rare drop from a rank 1000+ Mylarai elite/boss NPC instead
and if we get it, you should be able to use it on any mining planets including Toxic and Irradiated planets, but so far Dan are only giving out those x15 to x20 upgrades as base raid rewards (level 5+ bases) and limited rewards from mission chains
so I douth we will get one you can get as a NPC drop......

you make good points. because Irradiators are limited in number and intensifiers are not, demons worlds should never be better than irradiated worlds.Maybe this is why Dan hasnt put out an arti that uplifts demons :p

With your original idea, you could use tectonic stabalizers to get up to 15x and then transform to 16x.
irradiated planets can get up to 18x. Not a big difference, though it does take longer to build a demon because purifiers increase by 2 and tectonic stabalizers increase by 1. So in this scenario irradiated planets are still slightly better and easier to create but limited.

I still like the idea because i think demon worlds are cool lol... but the more i think about it, the more i see that uplifting volcanics/demons just isnt necessary. Dan should probably use his time on other things.


I will edit my post to exclude my recommendations as you have made your point on its flaws.

+1, I actually like this idea,
As you have pointed out toxic purifiers give +2 to mining, so you can make a 16x Toxic and uplift it into a 18x Irradiated.

However with this, you are limited to a maximum of 16x, 15x if the person is impatient, which is basically everyone who ever colonised a volcanic and doesn't have the gp to abandon it, they dont bother uplifting it and turn it into a demon immediately to make the most of what little they have.

Plus it takes twice as many of these to uplift as it does a toxic.

I like this idea, it makes sense..

This isn't something I need or want but maybe if the "tectonic stabalizer" [sic] maxed out at like 7x, it would make it more palatable to those who don't want it competing with irradiated planets.
