I'm working on the daily perspectives medal and since nobody is really targetting me at all in my rank range (probably due to 45 cloak) I didn't really care about professions while I was working on it. anyway, while I was a biologist for one of the races, I noticed that some of my planets seem to randomly lose 10% population without being attacked. They do repopulate back to their enhanced populations however.
Yes biologist is almost never used hence why this doesn't get reported, but can such a basic function possibly get its seriously long overdue fix?

did they lose the pop when you changed from non-bio to bio? if yes, that's maybe because changing to biologist give bonus to your max pop, but the current population must grow first before reaching that max pop. The same thing happen when you use Nanite swarm and shield amplifier.

The pop is meant to increase slowly though (can't use pods and such) but it doesn't. I switched to bio for just under 2 weeks recently and whilst all of my planets maximum pop increased the population never started to increase (or at least it doesn't appear to, I'm not sure if someone attacked a planet whether the pop had actually grown or not). Even at after 2 weeks the population on all my planets was the same as it was before switching to bio but appeared short of the max pop which had gone up with the switch to bio.

Asqual, 2 of my planets were simultaniously dropped to their non-bio levels while the third was already at bio-levels. and they were all at bio levels when I switched to bio.

I remember someone said there is a long-known Bio glitch, but I'm unsure if this the same glitch he said or not. The problem is similar, but it is only visual and the pop is not updating correctly.
