You can become Taltherian. Curious if anyone does, what the prof options are for it, and what it provides.

The Taltherians have the 'Urbanize' ability, which can be used on their planets. It increases the artifact production of the planet by 1, and has a 40 hour cooldown.

So is this a perma boost like research data optimizer ?
And we don't yet know what professions (hopefully builder and excavator which makes sense).

Is there is a limit to this like x15 I assume, and any planet restrictions, and can it be used more than once per planet ?

I saw people on the leaderboard as both. I'm not sure about their power...it's really nice sounding, and would be really useful, however, I don't think that I would change my entire race for it.

Also, does anybody have a picture of the Taltherian ship you get, or the actual race avatar for that matter?

It sounded like you could only use it on their planets, as in, the Ecumenopolis planets.

Well. The actual race looks a lot like what I thought...minus the ears. The ship, looks like what I thought too...although a bit bulky.

Yeah, the ability sounds like it is actually very useful, but not for somebody who wants to focus a lot on planetary production. I'm more into NPCing, and mission running, but the ability sounds like it's pretty good for planet likers.

I am an energy build and artifacts are the main way I increase my ship, including prisoners to engineers. There is finally a way to increase artifact quality on planets regularly like blade harvester for mining and the planet data optimizers for research -- but this one doesn't take any grinding through NPC to do which is interesting. It also means you use any decent very large planet that has some artifacts on it as a starting point to make a decent arti planet, instead of having to find them all the time.

Can you, or can you only use it on Ecumenopolis planets? The description does say "their" planets.

I don't think Dan would implement it for just 2 planets, but I do wish I knew what the limitations were on it before switching.

Well, it would take a month to get each one up to 15x Mega Rich, so that is a good amount of time to need to be them, even for just those two planets.

Well, as a Taltherian, 'their' planets would be 'your' planets :)

To clarify, The Urbanize ability has no planet restrictions other than a 15x Mega Rich limit.

Oh snap, that's way better than I though then; thanks for clearing that up!

Put 20$ in to get GP for race change + FATHERs (finally). I thought Drannik was my end game, but this is better for what I'm doing and worth it. So, releasing this race was enough to trigger me to finally buy something  Course, I'm rank 500-something so it's about time to get those relays anyway. But, thank goodness I can have some control over my planet upgrades without farming NPCs all the time. I like the consistency of this ability.

Taltherian professions are now listed in wiki and their ability, I have switched and observed them. Recommend Excavator or Builder. Urbanize takes 200 energy to use, which I don't think was listed anywhere but it's worth it.

I think it needs to show hours left from ship tab not just planet tab where you would use it.

I like the Taltherian Race design. The artworks used for them (avatar, ships, planets - gaia for Drannik and ecumenopolis for Taltherian) are distinctive and coherent in looks just like the Drannik. So for me, Taltherian and Drannik are aesthetically the best designed races.
