I want to start my own legion up and help out newer people (ima like that) i would like to pvp anyway though
PvP tips :
Equipment:
if you want the first tier dominion cannons thats not terrible they are good for low levels
skip tier 2 dominion cannons, or all you will do is PvP ever >> unless thats your thing, in which case happy hunting.
You really want Kalvium Fortified Platings however due to the xp requirement, if you are a slow ranker, you'll probably want to hold off for a bit.
get the yellow badges for protien armories ASAP best hull mod you can have at your rank.
NPC gear is really good for cost / space / output so you will want to kill some rares.
Their are alot of people your level range that are in already established legions they will be hard to kill, some advise on this :
open multple tabs of galaxy legion, 2 is generally enough for what most people want to do. 1 tab is for your ship modules, 1 tab is your battle tab.
on ship module tab unintall ( not sell lol, ive seen people make that mistake ) everything, replace with as much scan as you can get >> refresh battle tab.
back to ship mods, uninstall scaners, reinstall guns / hull / whatever else >> go to town.
Other useful things to look for.
the bigger their ship ( deck szie ) the more damage they can **POTENTIALLY** take. On the actions tab view the targets medals find the one corresponding to ship size, divide by 2 thats how much damage you can do at max. If you are not doing that much damage, use an EMP or 5. simple math you can do 20 damage per shot, or you can spend 20 energy and do 100 damage per shot, take your pick.

Player Kills 52
Deaths from Players 1
arbitrary statistic that dont mean anything dont get wrapped up in this.
Code:
Combat Reputation: Insane
arbitrary title, dont get wrapped up in this, all it really means >> at least to me << is that you disabled a bunch of people when you were a low rank.
Lastly, props to you for starting your own legion, alot of people jump into an established legion and tend to not have a concept of how to manage things that comes with roughing it. From my own personal experience and from those that I have watched grow around me, the players who jump in a legion that is starting from scratch tend to be better players ( take note of that I said better players NOT better ships ).
I wish you luck on your new legion.
