I consider this in many ways an indicator of the failure of legions for many new players. Dig through the recruitment posts sometime and you can see all the small legions that are basically trying to figure out what a legion is and don't know how to get to a good one.

Joined the legion for now. Will help him a little before I go back to Children of Gods.

I sent him an invite to join Obsidian Order
we are a level 4 base with CTlab nearing level 5 (fully extended when it's complete)
right now all it needs is energy

A merger would be better for him - tough building a new base and legion from scrap

he would have ongoing daily support from me - since Im on every day
I have additional support thru ties in the game and members I met along the way here

I hate to see people struggle and people leave the game
people and some teams need support

seen some good people leave because they way they were treated in the game

*Smiles* He won't come. I've been there for a little bit, and he gets merger offers almost daily. He ignores them.

I get offers too but Im a bigger base with better defenses
tougher to leave specially after working so long(3 months) to get where I am

it be better for him with some other legion - being alone he misses out on a lot of things
NPC shares for one -
protection, advice, arti sharing, planet sharing

small bases have a tough time recruiting because of the poorer payout
he'll need a lot of friends/family that will stick with him or guys like you to build him up and his base

he offers little by himself for newbies - specially after spouting "help I don't know what Im doing" in the recruitment posting
to newcomers that need help themselves

he be better suited to go to a large experienced team - get the experience and advice for awhile - learn the ropes
he should also contact experienced players and read some of the advice on the forums as much as he can

He should really look at the invites from other legions more closely and consider them

Oh, I agree with you for the most part.

I think I want to get him built up a bit first before I send him to a larger legion though, particularly since he doesn't get on for more than a few minutes once a day and his ship isn't all that good.

That way he doesn't get too discouraged when he isn't able to do a decent amount of damage to NPCs and bases and such.

Going to see if I can get him built up with arti production, and have him slow his ranking down as much as possible. He is still a low enough rank that he isn't beyond repair. He's certainly a much lower rank than I was when I started to try to turn my ship around.

And it's always good to come across another Canucklehead on the interwebs. I'm from southern Ontario myself.
