Apologies if this has been suggested.

For example, Mr. Feather (My youngest quasi) makes a big bad part of a big bad bossy NPC that is supah rare and comes around once every 10k NPCs killed and free some captive or something blah, blah...

Skip ahead...

For some reason one then gets a 1 hour or so access to a exclusive shop where you then spend some currency to buy amazing goodies.

If I translated that correctly I think you are suggesting an NPC that gives access to a special market (of what?) for an hour?

I think you need more detail, but -1 so far.

So, an NPC that opens a market when you kill it?
I like the idea, could be fun.
But needs more details.

Yup. Interesting, but need more details.

Like, how rare the NPC is? Caelon? Hybrid Larva? Troop Carrier? Zebereen? HUB ? Fab?
To what rank the NPC (and market) is aimed at?
What currency will be used in the market? - no credits please :D

Ducky was hoping you folks would figure that out..

Ducky would say it's rarity will be once every... Err, 15-20k NPCs pr something.

Either matched rank or several different versions, the higher rank ones having better sales...

Still doesn't seem all that well thought out, but i guess i can add some suggestions.
I think coming up with 1 matched NPC would be easier than making new ones for each rank-range.

Here is my suggestion:

Stryll Hyper-Prison Transport.
Extremely rare. (every 8-10K NPC kills?)
Matched.
Shields (rank*90)
Hull (rank*125)
This ship is designed to transport high-priority captives by the Stryll order to one of their many prisons throughout the galaxy.
Enemy Type Matched
Attack (rank*42)
Defense (rank*52)
Kill-reward: Rescued high-priority inmate. Use (500 E) to gain access to the Stryll Black Market for (1?) hour.
NPC expires after 12 hours.

The market could be accessed from the trade tab, and would contain 2-3 planet structures, ship-mods and buffs.
Upgrades could be possible at certain ranks. For example:
[Insert Name] Size: 30, Shield +240, Hull +380, Attack +220, upkeep: 125M/day. Upgrades the module 50%, while upkeep is increased by 100% up to a max of 500% (1000% for upkeep).
Once upgraded to 500% it adds a passive +3% shield and hull. One upgrade is available for purchase every 200 ranks. First available to buy and install at rank 200, then first upgrade at 400, second at 600, and so on incrementally up to 2200.

Unlike the Radiant Surge Cannon this would not automatically upgrade to the highest available level at first purchase, but has to be upgraded incrementally. I.E. if you are rank 1200, the first one does not go straight to 250%, rather you would need to buy it, then upgrade it 5 times. Each upgrade costs as much energy as the rank needed. (200, 400, 600, ETC.)

Now as for what should be used as currency.. Well we have a lot of options. We could do Dark badges to fit with the Stryll NPC that dropped it in this scenario, use one of the other badges, red, Green, Silver, ETC. Come up with some new kind of badges, we could do credits, minerals, CTP, EM, XTS-9, Political favor, specific artifacts like with the CTL, or a whole new system of currency that hasn't been used yet. Whatever makes the most sense to Dan i guess.

So, this is my idea. Feel free to tear it apart, or ignore it completely.

You should start your own thread with this idea, since this one probably won't get much traction (and inserting your own is thread-jacking).

Yeah, this is good. Something like this would be ideal if this were to be added.

think you need to read ducky comment he stated for others to make suggestions... ducky requested the suggestions to be open and jack his thread sereomntis kept to topic and gave a great suggestion to ducky topic and did not high jack it...

as for the suggestion i like it in a way but if it was to happen i think to make it fair to all ranks it be a new type of badge or currency no reason us higher ranks have a massive upper hand cause we are full of credits and some of us are stock piling badges cause we do not know what to do with them lol and then in other areas we are short on were the lower ranks can get them very easy..

so new currency of any sort badges or what ever gets a +1 from me and instead of being 1 hour ducky 30 mins is more then enough to look in a shop and buy what yea need heck if you were me 5 mins is more then enough lol
