Add a drop to Dark Runners to make them more interesting to kill:

Crimson Flamehawks drop Obelisks and Amplifiers
Rogue Tech Collectors drop CTP
Stryll Assassins drop Dark Badges.

Since Dark Runners are in the Dark Smugglers Guild they could probably drop about 2 - 5 MU/AP per kill.

Any thoguhts?

Given that Dark Runners are "Escort" ships, have them drop an artifact that gives +5% npc defense for 3mins (given how many of the ships we get)

Do I sense sarcasm?

Not really? flamehawks give an attack buff for /all/ attack activities, why not an npc defense buff from ships that are described as "Escorts"

If they are escorts, then why not code something that the next NPC to spawn after their kill is either an uncommon or rare Dark Smuggler (Caelon excluded!)? Basically, let us attack what they are escorting!

Making uncommon or rare dark smuggler's common? No thank you, Marv...

If that one last member of a planet's population is capable of driving back a full scale planetary invasion, I'm sure Galaxy legion's logic would imply that the Dark Runner Escort ships are never escorting anything, they kind of come across more as mail delivery vehicles in space to be honest. :|

I think a 9:1 xp ratio is sufficient reward to kill these supercommon NPCs..

Duh... For some reason I completely forgot to add in the bit that said "the next NPC to spawn after their kill has a higher chance to be an uncommon or rare". Otherwise, as Lev said, it just makes the rares and uncommons common!

The concept of "chance" does not suit me.... I'd rather do something like "kill 20 and get an uncommon free" uncommons are more common than that anyway.

A drop for those would be cool. A couple AP would be fabulous. They are just energy wasters now, and not fun when you kill 20-30 and can't find a good npc.
