I just wanted to post an Issue and have it be ignored like the one for the Landing Platform. I don't know why I attract the assholes. The Landing Platform got support, this one just got counter arguments that didn't hold water and opponents who don't have a leg to stand on.
I hope you understand, I honestly am smarter than you, and you honestly did not make a good point. None of you did. I know you don't believe me, I know you want to think you're great and smart, but you aren't. Sorry, that's just the fact, even though I know you'll never believe it. I hope someday you'll have the humility to see yourself objectively, and to know your own faults and weaknesses, but I know that is difficult and unlikely. It's not even always a great thing, but it can be useful sometimes.

Awwww Diddums~ did someone get their E-Peeni insulted?
As for my rank and profession~ *shrug* Not everyone likes to rank particularly fast~
I personally find it amusing just how enraged you appear to be~ not very intelligent if you succumb to rage and aggression like.....a savage perhaps?
As for referring to a wish that you could kill me~ By all means please try, I will take the shot~ happy in the knowledge that you will get your "superiority" shoved right up your ass in the prison shower~
I honestly hope the mods don't lock this thread, just so I can see how far down the rabbit hole you'll tumble before having a mental breakdown~ Now to you, I bid farewell and goodnight~ Don't forget to lock the warp-gate when you leave~

That's enough people.
There is legitimate reason to question whether this structure (and the Bioship Landing Platform) are working as intended or not. Short of a reply from Webguydan, both sides of this argument are based on speculation and inference.

Yes, two sides of the argument~ Which side resorted to adolescent name calling and rage quitting first? Oh that's right, Him.

Dan, implement a forum like button, far more important than fixing something that actually works~ unlike planet cloaking or the "memory leak" issue~

Do any of those have their stats posted on the effect page? % boosts that's it, all the other are applied directly then have the effects boost. Since the raix bunker defense is an effect it is applied AFTER the effects above it.

Do any of those have their stats posted on the effect page? % boosts that's it, all the other are applied directly then have the effects boost. Since the raix bunker defense is an effect it is applied AFTER the effects above it. Yes, I am aware that that is how it works. There is no indication in the description that it should work like that. Its bonus is listed as defense, just like many others. "Does" does not imply "should". Seriously, I already covered this. 1) From the Stryll Confinement Protocols description: "Permanently upgrades a standard (built from materials) 'Defense', 'Population' or 'Cloak' structure" If the only things that are structures are structures that are built from materials, as you have suggested, then why does this specify "built from materials" as a "standard structure", rather than just a "structure"? That implies there are non-standard structures not built from materials. This is true, they are built from artifacts. Structures built from artifacts are still structures. 2) In the description of the Raix Bunker, and all other artifact-built structures: "[Planet Structure" I can't believe that isn't clear enough that it's a structure. 3) It's placed on the Structures tab of the planet, and takes space reserved for Structures. Claiming it isn't a structure is just you grasping at straws; it's the worst argument you've come up with yet. Seriously Tree, you're siding with people who think this isn't a structure because it's built from an artifact? I'm not annoyed that you disagree, I'm annoyed that you keep acting like an asshole while coming to me with reasoning that is clearly stupid. It's obviously a structure. It says Structure in the description. It the a place on the planet as a Structure. Yeah you quoted that twice now... but you don't quote the end part do you; Quote: both sides of this argument are based on speculation and inference. What that is essentially telling "you" & everyone else is stop assuming you are the one that is correct. None of you are correct. So making grand statements that make it seem like only you can be correct here is what is peeving everyone off here.

So making grand statements that make it seem like only you can be correct here is what is peeving everyone off here. My point wasn't that I'm correct and it's broken, it's that I'm correct that it might be broken. I came here posting something that might be an issue, and was met with people coming up with bad reasons that it isn't an issue. Nothing I said was an attempt to prove it is an issue, just an attempt to disprove that it isn't. Disproving that it isn't doesn't imply that it is, only that it might be. I underlined the keywords to try to make the issue clear: it isn't "is" vs. "isn't", it's "isn't" vs. "might be", and "might be" has won. EDIT: To be clear, when I say "is" or "isn't" I mean "definitely is" or "definitely isn't". They tried to prove "definitely isn't" and failed, so it "might be" which is also "might not be". They tried to remove the doubt, and I disproved them, thus showing that there is reasonable doubt, as the mod said.

This thread has only managed to teach me that you can be a complete A*****E while being logically and factually correct.
In any case neither side has the "Word of God" backing here.
Hey Dan, can you spare a second to help the pleebs out here?

Hey Dan, can you spare a second to help the pleebs out here? He has said this on the issue: Pongoloid wrote: Sent in an in-game report upon discovering the problem (assuming it is a problem?), and received a "thanks for the report," but no acknowledgment if it was "feature" or a 'bug" or if anything was ever going to be done about it. Still confused about this myself as to what the deal is. As a workaround, keep extractors handy and avoid placing Ventar Field Collapsers before Bioship Landing Pads. It's a waste of extractors, but the only option if ya want full cloak multiplication. Pitch Ninja wrote: If it helps any, I had sent in a support ticket to Dan about this issue because I had a planet that had 117,669 defense and 11,025 population. installing one of these on the planet gives me defense +2205. So I of course demolished an obviation barrier to put one in its place and free up a space. The defense had dropped to 111,798. When I sent this to Dan he asked me for a screenshot which I sent him. He then replied with this:
"I think some of the % bonuses simply aren't going into effect on the module bonus. This has been reported. We'll look into that."
So it would seem from that like there is a resolution coming. I think the "resolution coming" is a bit optimistic, but at least it's on the books.

This and the Bioship Landing Platform, IF they are in fact not working as intended could be solved by changing the order of application of effects on a planets totals stats from: "Whatever is Placed first" to a Specific Sequence. Like the following
0. Non variable or % structures and Passive stats on planet. 1: Structures with a variable bonus. (i.e. Bioship and Raix Bunker) preference given to variable bonus structure placed first. 2: Structures that provide % boosts(i.e. Polaron, Ergosphere, Barrier Nexus, etc.) to planet stats. Preference given to % bonus structure placed first. 3: Passive Effects on the planet.

Arbiter wrote: He could IMPLEMENT it so that static bonus effects from structures are applied before % bonuses if he wants, it doesn't NEED to work like this. It wasn't that you disagreed, it's that you couldn't disagree without being assholes about it. "I don't think it's broken, I think it's supposed to work like this" is disagreeing. "You're just whining for Dan to fix your mistake" is being an asshole. Even if your arguments proved that it was working correctly (which, of course, they did not) you still started being assholes immediately.
