As the title says, It would be nice to have a GP option to remove the Daily timer from a mission string. I.E: A Distant Detonation, has to be completed 10 times, its a daily, you pay say... 50GP it removes the Daily Timer for the Mission String A Distant Detonation. Tis just a thought, mostly because I get bored sitting here waiting 24 hours between doing these missions -.- and i'd rather HAVE the option to pay a little GP to clear a timer and continue to drone on the game.

The point of "daily" missions, from a developer's POV, is to draw the player back every day. Those are more days where said players could buy GP.

From a business viewpoint I wholly agree, and totally get Dans reasoning
From a personal viewpoint, I would play a whole lot more if the missions I wanted to do weren't on a daily timer, probably even pay GP to refill energy to complete said missions and would play more as I would have reached certain personal goals. As it is I do my daily, log off and let energy recharge to level up, do daily....and repeat until I complete the chain.

If you can't complete this most recent set of missions as a daily, AND rank up on NPCs with your remaining energy, OR partially complete the mission and rank up on NPCs then lather-rinse-repeat, you're doing something wrong. ;)

Regular, daily players of games tend to spend more RL$ on said games than those who spend for specific situations.

My explanation came out a bit garbled, I rank up off what I have left, I just leave the game alone until the timer runs out. If there was no daily limit, I would continue playing, ergo being a regular daily player and likely buying more GP.

I agree with the points made above, however I would like to see a decrease in the amount of daily missions being rolled out.

+1 to that. Although, I'm pretty sure every new mission from now until the end of time will be a daily - Dan thinks that forces us to logon every day and play, as if we don't do that every 4 hours to begin with.

I think most of the people who are spending money are already logging in at least once a day anyway, and are likely to keep doing so, even if you remove the daily timers from missions.
I know I do..

The Daily Missions were created as a way for Dan to hold you guys off from rushing through the content. If he got rid of this then people would just storm through the content once again.

Besides, hasn't the Daily Mission Chains created suspense for "what ability will this module have?" or "what effect will this artifact have?"

not sure that is why he is dooing it

before the new chains started to come out as daily missions, some high players had the mission done the day it came out
I do think it is fair that the new mission Dan releases when he is giving us a new mission chain is daily to prevent that

but I fail to see the point in keeping them daily missions, once the chain have been archived
archived missions should be something you can do, as farst as you want

so I dont think we need a artifact you can buy that removes Daily status from mission chains
what need to happen instead is when missions get archived, they automaticaly should lose the daily status

I agree with darkmar. once it gets archived its a turn off to have to wait to do the mission. id prefer to spend some tris or cubes, if the rewards are good enough.

i disagree with darkmar. i think that keeping those missions as dailys forces players to plan more. plus, those who do the missions when they are introduced would not get the benefits for as long AS THEY DO NOW compared to those who would 'rush' it after it is archived. taking that away means fewer people will actively do the mission as it comes out, waiting to see what the final benefits are before zooming thru it.

Your logic returns false on this sentence Senator.

well as I see it senatorhung

the high rank activ players, who get the mission done when we have it as a 2 weeks mission, are already logging in daily to collect theire artifact production - so makes no difrence to them

the Low/mid rank players that dont have the energy to finish it, might become more activ...or many not

in reality, what realy happens is simply that once the mission gets arcived, they will still need to spendt x days on it, 1 for each mission completion they missed to catch up and get the final reward
and when you add anoying mission NPC like the Deepspikes and Crimson Cutlass to the pool, that wont go away until you actualy compleet the mission that spawns them, it will not only delaying them in getting the final reward, but also making it harder for them to Hunt for legion mission and season NPC's

if they cant do the legion missions NPC hunts due to constantly getting blocked by Deepspikes and Crimson Cutlass, they proberly wont keep up beeing activ on a daily basis for long

it all depends on how you look at it, and who the players we are talking about are

you are quite right, if it wasnt keep daily, some high rank players would wait to compleet the mission until they know for certain where or not the reward was worth it
but i dont realy see that as a big problem, compaired to the low/mid rank players who ends up with a NPC on scanner it will take them weeks or even months to get rid of
