It is definitely something that can be looked at, maybe as a reward the base gets a massive hit to a 'vital' system, dropping the health or shield a percentage. I don't really know any other ideas for it, I'm a little confused but kind of get the general idea.

So no replies back yet, but I'm really starting to see the significance of a better base defense. Especially as ships get stronger, bases do not. I have a feeling that in a year or two, unless you are a high ranking legion, within top 50, bases will become pretty poor. Do level 8/9 bases even get destroyed anymore?
