no i don't think the base crate count is unfair at all. the base crate is where the crystals come from ... you don't get a crate, you get no chance at a crystal, nor ranking anubix. as i said before, the scanning legion members have to get lucky twice ... once for the crate, and the 2d time for the crystal. only ONE of those feeder legion members has had to only roll the odds once with a 100% base raid.

and yes, i DO know what the odds for base crate raiding are ... i have my grubby paws on just about anything referring to raids or raiding on the wiki. however, i did NOT have a hand in this one: http://galaxylegion.com/wiki/index.php/ ... _Artifacts

it looks to me that level 6 and level 7 bases have the exact same drop rates for crystals ... hence AU's choice of our current basing style. anecdotally, around 40% of my personal drops of enumeration crystals have come from level 5 bases, though i have not been tracking that officially. so, of the data provided thus far - number of 100% base raids - MINIMUM expected crystals:

if they were able to rank up anubix normally as a member of the feeder legion, they would not have needed to join EoTS to do so. once Anubix is rank capped, the successful raid chance does become somewhat less valuable.


not discounting the silvers at all ... just prioritize the raids and crates. our level 7 base is doing just fine on the clamping front. and you are assuming that the feeder legion members are spending their silvers on clamps ... it is MUCH more likely that they are saving up for the barrier nexus instead. (and if not, they should be ...)

Massive crates have a much smaller drop rate for crystals compared to colossal crates.
I gathered data on this for a while.

The only advantage massive crates have over colossal crates is that colossal crates don't drop rift traps.

Anubix ranking is a non issue for our scan legions. They easily rank theirs in their own legion. They also have the accelerated ranking option.

There's no way level 5 crates drop 10% crystals, rift traps, and parsers. My planets would have gotten a lot better a lot earlier if that was the case. I'd guess more like 1%, maybe as high as a few %.

My current rule of thumb is 10% of massive crates yield crystals, and nearly 30% of colossals.

I get more crystals now than I did when I was in a feeder legion. idk what the drop rates are, what the numbers have to say. All I know is what I know, and that is I have more crystals to show than I did when I was with a different set up. Abysmal Rift Traps are nice too! Plus we tend not to over use our e bars so we can do other things.

Not sure if you're talking about what I'm talking about or not. I know for a fact that over a year of basing on 5s/6s three times a day only yielded a handful of rare drops, but when I joined a legion doing three 6s/7s a day my crystal drop rate was at least 1 a week. Apples to apples on numbers of bases and crates, dramatically different on crystal yields.

Senatorhung, you unfairly dismiss all raid chances that are not 100% chance. I don't know why you choose to do this since a 90% chance is worth 9/10 of a crate because with 10 attempts you will get 9 crates (on average, always on average)

I've already stated that massive crates do not have the same yield for enumeration crystals as colossal crates. If you reject this notion then we are wasting our time here discussing this further.

So using the drop rates I have seen which seem fair and do a nice job representing what I continue to experience weekly.

Yes this assumes everyone raids, everyone has plenty of time to raid so it is hard to restrict this and I believe it is fair to assume everyone raids when comparing.

You can skew the numbers by picking the best bases done by solo basers and comparing them to the worst bases for the scanners, but it won't change the facts that you have scanners getting more crystals per raid and more raids overall in the complete data.

We just assisted in battle against a lvl 7 base. Reported thus far, 4 fails.
