Greeting... While i love weekly missions that give nice rare items, etc, i think having them not come for a total of 1 week or something would be nice.. basiclly to focus on other missions below it.. some of those missions take 100 or more energy per click and the mission could have 10 or more things in just 1 round to finishing it... then there's round 2 ,etc upwards of 5 to 10 to actually completely finish mission. .. either that or a weekly just have 2 rounds to it instead of 5 to 10 or something... the missions below in my mission tab basiclly sit and collect dust.. without my relays, i get 1250 energy.. but with relays i only get 435 energy... so when it gets close to filling up, i drop them all in the weekly... my energy even with high Isomorphic Repeater's... i still can't produce enough energy to have some left over for other missions... hell, most weekly missions i can't even complete cause there's so many freak'in rounds to complete.

Just my 2 cents...

every time a mission chain ends theres a week or 2 week break while they set up the new one. so just wait for that, and you can finish off all the missions you can in that break. but for now, consider researching energy if you have iso repeaters, but only a max of 1200 energy...i have 1600 and am only 3/4 on intra-d colliders.

well, it takes about 2 weeks for weekly to be done.. usually they give you 1 week and 6 days.. in the mean time i'm dumping just about all energy into it .. and weekly isn't like a total of 10 rounds with 10 in each round.. it's like, 10 To completly complete it with 90 points in 1 round.. so i'd be lucky if at the end of a 1 week and 6 days weekly; that i complete 8 or so.. basiclly there's not energy to balance regular missions AND weekly with any plan of doing any serious dent in each of them. When i level up, i tend to drop alot between some regular and weekly; cause i know weekly will never stop. soon as the one that have 90 cloak finished, the next day, there's already another one taking it's place with it's own number amount of missions needed to complete it and required energy got it.
it stinks cause it cosst 25 energy per click.. 25 adds up pretty quick.

yes, but just like when the stryll/genetaar missions ended, there was a 2 week break then the christmas mission was posted. when the octafari/mylari mission is over theres going to be a 2 week break.

also, choose your missions wisely. the last 2 octafari missions have been garbage only posted to advance the storyline so that it would make sense of how the octafari are taking over. i skipped them because i saw better uses of energy.

as for the good missions, ie the module and building missions i usually do those within 2-7 days. however, i remember when i had barely any energy and it took me the full 2 weeks to get the rewards, so i see where ur coming from, but honestly thats only really a problem for low levels. anyone who has zero-point energy and above finished the missions quickly and if there was any more time inbetween them i would be rather disappointed. just keep dumping research into reactors, or if you want a quick fix then rank points into engineers. then youll see you finish the missions much quicker. ive already finished a round and still had energy to lock in on several good elite npcs and a boss npc, and had time to finish a round of the complex tech mission. so i plan to finish the weekly mission off in the next 2 days.

I don't like that idea. There are a lot of us who can finish the weekly missions in a day.

And if you don't finish them, you can always finish them later when they become permanent missions.

I agree with Firewalk, give us 1 week after a weekly mission is officially over before you start a new one.

just do whatever mission you want whenever you want. every mission (excluding holidays) will be available again. if you think another mission is worth more energy than the weekly then do it.

I guess.. but i don't think it's asking too much for the weekly to be 3 weeks, then after the mission expires at it's normal time, from that point, the week of taking a break would start, then another weekly can start... the week off allows tidying up stuff... either finishing off that almost completed but not quite mission, or to attack some bosses which i also do for even better weapons, etc.. there's alot of stuff that needs energy and tons of it .. 1 week really in the grand scheme of things isn't asking for much.. Others on this forum from what i've seen agreed /w me.. and it's not a request that's out of this world.. it's not like i'm asking for any major changes to ships, rules of conduct or planet stats or nothing..

while its true your not asking for the game mechanics to be changed, three weeks is a long wait when you finish the weekly mission in 1-2 days. especially if ur like frail or binaryman who have finished everything else and cant sufficiantly grind npcs.

imagine its the other way around, and youve finished the mission and now have a 3 week wait for the next part with nothing to do but a repeatable mission that gives planet traps as a completion reward... its kinda lame. honestly this is more of a low level problem, and as you level up to the 150-180 range you'll see its really easy to finish the biweekly missions in less than a week.

im lucky enough that i still have missions to do after i finish the weekly and can also kill matched npcs in 3-4 hits so this triweekly suggestion wouldnt impact me that much, but i still do not see the point in giving an extra week especially when they will all become available again on the regular mission tab. The prejor missions, the zolazin missions, the stryll/genetaar missions, those were all biweekly chains that ended and are now available to the newer players. so if you miss a mission just sit tight and youll be able to finish em soon.

honestly i usually pass on the biweekly unless i can see an immediate use for the artifact or building. the only time im adamant about finishing it as soon as i can is when its a module. so go and do whatever mission you want, instead of viewing the biweekly mission as 'special' just view it as a regular mission that you can come back to.

I continue to say this, so forgive me if it gets old. But, two awesome things about this game are:

1. The range of choices we get to make.
2. Dan is a very responsive developer.

I would not be in favor of the break because part of the game for me is the thrill of the "trade off." If I do x now, will it cost me yz later? I agree with what the person said earlier too. Dan tends to bring these missions back as part of a perm chain. If you dont have the energy for all 4 mods now, you can get the ones you miss later.

I just finished it this morning, so now I've got a 2 week break...

On a side note.. How can relays take your energy from 1250 down to 435? That's about 200 per relay... Or are you counting energy reducing weapons also like ion ballistae and exotic pulsers? If you are losing that much energy, could I suggest you install better reactor cores?
