Here's an Idea:
Have an extremely rare npc (like the Hybrid Larvae or the Caelon) that when you disable it it turns into an Ally. It would have be something like r1500 super tough with 6k cloak or something. Even better would be to make it a seasonal, Qpedd perhaps.
"You have succeeded in penetrating the defenses and repairing the robot, and it attaches itself to your ship"
Gladria, Qpedd Attractor Initial Stats: Energy 200, Hull 600, Cloak 200 Rank 30: 200 Scan Rank 60: 6% def boost Rank 100: Ability: Qpedd calming influence, releases calm onto enemy planet, reducing def and atk by 10%, cost 200 e, cool down 40 hrs. Ranks by Crit Hacking Someone( idk, that's the best I could come up with, you think of something better)
I haven't really thought the stats through too much, but that's my general concept, Think it'd be pretty cool.

Ok, refined it a bit based on suggestions:
NPC: Gladria, Qpedd Attractor Ultra rare "Designed as an assistant to ships, Gladria suffered from the same malfunction as the rest of the Qpedds, when its defenses have been penetrated, its inner core is accessible, and may be reprogrammed." Rank 1500, 1000000 Hull, 200000 Shield, 50k def, 40k attack Abilities: Idk
"You have succeeded in penetrating the defenses and repairing the robot, and it attaches itself to your ship"
Gladria, Qpedd Attractor Initial Stats: Energy 200, Hull 600, Cloak 200 Rank 30: 200 Scan Rank 60: 8% def boost Rank 100: Ability: Qpedd calming influence, releases calm onto enemy planet, reducing def and atk by 10%, cost 200 e, cool down 40 hrs. Ranks by disabling Gladria, Qpedd Attractor (Kudos to Cen, excellent suggestion)
I've kind of envisioned it as a seasonal, it wouldn't have to be necessarily, Though if it wasn't, it would need something leading up to it, like a mission or a medal, rather than it just randomly appearing.

1.2mil health might be a little much considering 100 of these would have to be killed... minimum 400,000 energy spent. Though I suppose other allies require even more, so maybe it's not too much.

I like the idea of an NPC that you find becoming an ally. However, the difficulty suggested in ranking it is way over the top. you'd have to hunt 99 more of these things which are already as rare as caelon and larvae, AND they only appear during Q-pedds. Even if the spawn rates are doubled as another suggested, that is still rarer than the regular extremely rare NPC factions. How many ranks would you have to gain to find another one let alone 99? All of the allies we currently have are not very hard to rank, some are harder to get than others, but overall, they aren't that hard to rank. So +1 to the idea, but -1 to how it is ranked.
