I actually kind of like this idea in general, but I'd like to see a couple of earlier missions in it to set it up more. Maybe one where you get a glimpse of the Arcturians, and one to see the Hochads.

I haven't gotten high enough to really see the effects, but the balance between to the chains seems rather lop-sided, though the costs are at least as lop-sided as the benefits.

However, it really adds permanent consequences into the game - once you start down one side, you can never go down the other - and that's an excellent match to reality!

+1 for the split decision idea. i love grey areas and no wrong sides in a war. adding a choice element into the game would be rather fun!

A choice element is interesting, but I have no interest in modules that take away stats like that.

I think some of them could be good; anything that gives scanning would at least be useful during scan blitzes, no matter the negative effect. I think the positive part would need to be a lot better on things like that to make it really worth it, though.

This is pretty cool. I like the idea, and I would like to see various races like the ones here in the game. Zophah and I also mentioned something like this when we were discussing what kind of shape shifting races we wanted to have in the game.
