 Crit raid & Chart purger

Hi,
was thinking, how about to have another source of Star Chart Purger (SCP) than artifact points/mission Stellar Cartography and have a stronger version of it?

I was considering:
1) critical raid could rather get an artifact from raided player cargo. List of item which can be raided would have to be created and artifact could be choosed per amount of AP to be raided, but such artifact should not be from non-repeatable mission nor from badge items list. Not sure if limit it also to non-GP items - would make it less attractive. This way thru PvP could steal also Star Chart Purger (1000 artifact points). This code per very old forum discussion existed - back when you could raid the cargo.
OR new NPCs:
2) new rare NPC Dark Star Gate - could have slightly different image as Dark Warp Gate from Dark Smugglers Guild with drop Star Chart Purger 75% / 25% Dark Star Chart Purger (erase from list a planet colonized by you).
3) new extremely rare Boss 10+ Rogue Stellar Screener, r Matched from Rogue Science League, drop 90% Star Chart Purger, 10% Dark Star Chart Purger

Consider this as a corner to debate about it, tweak it, improve it - if you can ;)

Basically :

Crit raid now steal artifact at random, depending on how much AP you steal (in his example, 1000 AP crit raid MAY give you a Purger)
It also MAY steal GP items - discusable.

OR

A new, rare Purger, which allows you to abandon. It drops from a new Dark Smuggler NPC.

-new rare NPC Dark Star Gate = a new Dark Smuggler
-new extremely rare Boss 10+ Rogue Stellar Screener, r Matched from Rogue Science League

being able to pick the arty you want like that wont work over all. People will just raid upper ranks getting 5-10k ap and getting 5-10 purgers per day. this would just lead to a few people upper ranks getting gangbannged over and over again by those mid rank monster ships who also rank kinda slow as hell. Would just be one more reason for long time players to quit, bad nuff we lose all group npc's mission npc's some seasonals not to just be farm targets. *** that! we have many reasons to pvp as is but no matter what people are going to choose not to do it. you just need to keep plugging along. . And letting people steal GP items from even your cargo bay would only cause so much ***ing. Could cause some people not to buy some seasonal items to hold on to all year round and use as needed. GL items are way more expansive than most other FB games over all.

it is already several years back, when it was so, but that time the game content was smaller and anything was possible to raid, what raised a lot of hate. I suggest to raid not AP, but directly common artifact items which anyone would gain from turning AP to items. Could be set, to be active from a certain minimum amount to do not cause problems to low ranks.

you took my fav color, so I picked this, but anyway:
I do not suggest to pick the arti, there would a lit of artifacts allowed to be gained thru critical raid limited by artifact points you would raid (per current code) and the game would pick per RNG - could be similar as when we change artifact point to artifacts. And yes, this would revive the PvP among top ranks, where they can raid x000 AP in one raid thus could get e.g. Time Manipulator (750 AP), Null Fuse (2000 AP) etc - see list of common artis http://galaxylegion.com/wiki/index.php/Common_Artifacts
NB: the GP items I mentioned to start a debate around it ;) I guess, even if these would be allowed to be gain thru critical raid equal to 50000 AP or more ;) That would rather set a damm high goal for many and still RNG would decide what you get ;) But not mandatory, just would add as extra spice.

well in case of 10 players boss 90% = maybe 9 Star Chart purgers and 1 Dark Star Chart Purger (erase a planet from list a planet colonized by you)

in any case, my reading of the OP is that a crit.raid arti theft would be limited to those that can be pulled using your regular AP points. so, if your crit.raid would have pulled 2200 AP points ... you would instead pull a random arti that was worth less than 2200 AP to pull ... the star chart would be in that pool at 1000, but so would spy probes at 250/600 and cloning pods at 400. if you crit.raid for under 250 AP, or any amount of MP, you would just get the points.

100% correct, incl. last statement - in case thru critical raid raided under 250 AP, you get directly AP.

Im semi indifferent if thats the way it would work. What i get from raids is the yellow, the arti ap is meh. But i would fell meh about getting a cloning pod too :).

I am not following you... what you mean? The target has "damage" either way = lost AP or the artifact itself (which was gained thru AP). Why only 5?

Because there is no guarantee (especially at lower ranks) of any of those AP generating shipbuilders whereas the the artifact itself IS a guarantee. Five are the 2 droids, brackets, prisoners and xcharge. Add shipbots and it's 6.
