Just an Idea. Instead of using galaxy points to abandon planets, there should be an artifact that you could use to abandon otherwise planet abandonment should cost 2x the amount that it would cost to colonize another planet. I love playing this game. Just cant afford to pay for GP at the moment (new kid and all) and all the planets that i had colonized earlier on in the game have now become a hindrance. I am sure that a lot of other people here have the same problem and feel the same way.

Well, it's not like people have a huge amount of planets to abandon, and you can abandon 4 for 3 dollars or 8 for 5 dollars; it is a very one-time thing, so I think it's a good way to just get a few dollars from people if they really want it, but it's not too terrible a burden if you can't either. If people got just a few artifacts that abandoned planets they would never need GP to do it. I know it sucks when you can't afford to get stuff, but this really isn't that unreasonable.

I would like to see it even if it is a one-time mission where you can only get say 5 of them. It would add a new dimension where you could take someone's planet for the items on it and then abandon it.

We all have planets in our scans that we don't want to own but we would like the stuff on the planet. This would allow people to conquer, raze and abandon a planet.

yeah, +1 to the artifact and credit cost. id imagine many high levels want to drop their gas planets. i personally have 7 or 8 planets with average as their best resource, as my luck with scans didnt yield me a rich planet until around rank 50-70.

I think its a good idea but I would like to keep it the way it is. How much do you actually pay for PC/Xbox/PS3/etc games? Yes this is a free game but do you actually find it that bad to pay a couple of dollars to abandon a few planets? Why abandon anyway when you can upgrade them for free!!

This game is Dan's job, its how he makes his living. What if everything in the game was free? Well the game wouldn’t be around for long cos Dan would have to go out and get a job. To be able to play the game and make sure Dan keeps updating/upgrading I personally don’t mind pay a couple of dollars every now and then.

-1. its only about 50p in GBP to get rid of a planet.... thats prettymuch nothing if your over the age of 18 . also it go towards the game anyway. everyones a winner.
