I have been hearing sooo much about people gangin up on people and how they atre cowards and so forth,,,endless complaints on attacks and fighting and HOW people fight.

1st Idea......LETS HAVE A DUEL MODE!!!!!

this is where people can go if they are online and really go at each other. No Traps, no gangs, just a one on one Solar system battle :) And also make a spot on the Leaderboard for Duels Leader!


2nd Idea.......MARKET PLACE!!!!!

everyone has diffrent things they need at diffrent times during play...planets, arts, etc so why not have a shop set up to where we can go and exchange in a more orgainized way?

Im leaving these 2 idea pretty generic as alot of you have really cool details you come up with so would like to hear what everyone thinks about these

Good idea! it does seam irritating when im on and suddenly my health goes down and their is nothing i can do. Also like market place idea. ;)

if i could propose an idea for duel mode, what about a turn based fighting style. 2 players agree to duel, and they have the option to either attack, or use an artifact. they can do one action per turn (this can obviously be modified in the future with modules and whatnot) and have a 30 second time limit.

if they withdraw or force quit (like closing the browser) they will automatically lose and it will count as defeat. if they are disabeld it will count as defeat. if they go inactive then they will be disabled due to their turn ending every 30 seconds. The victor will be awarded a red, a yellow or blue (they would be allowed a finishing move hack or raid), and a new BLACK badge to use in the marketplace.

EDIT: to make this more official there could be a tournament every 2-4 hours. players would enter and then be matched with other players around their combat rating. so initially it would be completely random, but over the course of a few months the top players would be matched with eachother, while newer players would fight eachother to learn. There would be 10 rounds, and you would gain minerals or artifacts for each win. if you lose to a player of a better combat rating, you get a smaller reward. if you win against a player of a larger combat rating you get a bonus reward.

as for the marketplace, there would be three tabs. Artifacts, Special Items, and Planets.

Artifacts would be where players could post artifacts and their corresponding values in either credits or a trade option. Artifacts can be bought outright with credits, where the credits would automatically transfer to the other players account, and the artifacts would be transfered to your account, OR they can post an offer of a different specific type and amount which would be transfered once the initial player approves it.

For example, say im selling 2 nanite swarm capsuls. I would sell them for 5000 credits each. Now, say a player wants them, but not for that price. they would then select the 'trade' button under the buy now option. say they want to offer 8 crimson oblesks in return, they would post that, and providing they arnt bought by another player, when i come back online i would have the option to approve or decline the trade.

Special Items would be where players can trade Exotic Matter, Zolazin Debris, Prejor Tech, XTS-9, and Complex Tech for credits or artifacts again.

the Planet tab would be where players can sell the location of planets for credits or artifacts, or even another planet. The way it would work is it would show type, size, richness, and wether or not its occupied. If unoccupied, it would be displayed as such, if it is owned by the seller, it would say 'owned by seller', and if enemy owned, it would display the rank of the enemy player it is owned by.

After the location is purchased, it would be wiped from the sellers database and transferred to the buyers. Only then would they find out the specifics of the planet. Tags can be added to the planets when selling them in case the owner wants to add more information. If an enemy planet is owned by the buyer, then the location would still be wiped from the sellers database, so in effect theyre paying them to purge it.

Yeah my ad-hoc market between a few legions isn't going as well as I hoped, we definitely need this in the game. For me it's mainly exotic trading and planet trading, but there's other potential there.

I like the planet idea in the Market, it would be so much easier and worthwhile to purge a planet, than have to wait around for a Star Chart Purger.

I also wana add that it would be great to have the artifacts sectioned out on diffrent pages...you know have the planet arts seperate from the fighting arts, or the npc arts (mission arts too),,,just would be great to have more organization :twisted:

i agree with both ideas, for duel modes can there be a wager mode where other players can place bets on who they think wil win?

WIth the duels, its very possible that over a 2-4 hours tourney you'd run out of energy, you would have to have energy recharges after each duel or something, and then you enter into the fact that if you're getting free energy recharges, that's going to be the only thing people do. I do love pvp'ing, in fact its almost all I do, but I can't get enough energy cubes to participate in something like that very often.

There could be something that lowers energy use (say 1-2 energy per attack) during the tourneys so that this won't be as much of a problem, but so that this won't be the only thing that people are doing like you said.
