 Terraformer Update

Hey, I have one question. Why are terraformers not available from artifact production? They should be expensive, yeah, (like 10k?) but not unobtainable. The only ways to get the as of yet are:
NPC farming, a pain to do.
Galaxy Points.

This makes it hard for people without access to galaxy points to get the 13x Mega Rich exotic planet, let alone the dysons, which require the even rarer Quasi Spacial Container.

So Dan, can you add it for us? :)

they used to be available. they were taken out to increase gp spending. its another reason the higher levels have such great planets. plentiful terraformers, expanders, and mass surface melters.

ye i find it rather unfair.
But i think it should scale to your artifact production, rank or artifact cap.

All thought, id love to have terraformers from artifact production, there are people who get enormous amounts of artifact production, up to 20,000 artifacts points an hour. All of there planets will be 16x megarich in about two or three months, so i gotta disagree, it has mentioned lots before.

You have a point, which is why they would have to be very expensive. 10k points+ At rank 74 I could leave it a couple of days and then try and get one, so even at low-mid rank they would be obtainable. As for the high ranks, they get enough production that their ships are amped up on androids, ship bots blah blah blah, soon they could eliminate the need for defenses and hulls, except for the fact that it just makes their ship even better, but if they have 20k already, would it really make that much difference?

I guess they're meant to be ultra rare. It took killing about 5000 NPCs to find enough teraformers to complete the hyperterrformer mission. Got my first quasi-spatial expander at 6000 kills. That's from a few months of focused NPC hunting.

I've set my goal to complete the Dyson mission so I'm guessing I'll need to kill 60,000 NPCs and keep playing Galaxy Legion for a few years.

I do agree that it's unfair that the older players have not only a huge level lead but also the advantage of being around when the big three were available from artifact drops. And the fact that they are only available from NPC drops doesn't really slow them down because they can kill a hundred NPCs in a single day looking for them.

Well, it is starting to balance out. Most high level players don't have very many badges or badge modules. Low level players were maxing out their modules in a few days.

Yup. I have 4 dominions, I don't hack, and barely raid. I have 3 assimilation locuses, which are of abundance to high rank players, more so than us, so I don't see how it would.

I would love to see what a high level (500+) thinks.

lol i just barely made the cutoff for pvp before i got spammed with the top 10 legions in my tab. i now have all the pvp modules and 100+ red badges, and around 90 blue at rank 281. i still get an occasional low legion player, but its mainly top ten ppl in there...

life isn't fair nor is this game.
DAN keeps changing it on the fly in an attempt to keep it balanced.
I would say he's doing a good job.
I'm one of those that have missed out on the first wave of players and the goodies but it's still an enjoyable game.
If you enjoy the game and have any spare cash please be sure to support DAN. I really appreciate that their are no ads. (except Facebook on the side that you can easily hide).
Also can anyone figure out new artifacts that DAN could place in the GP store? I mean reasonable artifacts that keep the game sort of fair and can bring more revenue to DAN so he could devote more time to the game.

You have to know which NPC's will drop the Terraforming Devices. They are always carried by T.O. Troop Carriers.

Yes they are. The two that carry Terraformers show up about one in every 300 NPCs. Good luck.

i dunno about that... ive logged over 5000 npc kills, and the majority of my terraformers were either gained through contract coordinates or that freebie weekend when the asteroids were out. i think ive only found 2 troop carriers legitimately.

i had recently received an arti shipment and i got a terraformer, however i didnt see that i had received it and i checked my ships log and not a daily reward and nobody had given me one... it just appeared
