Cloak +100 Defense +100 Research +2
Potential chance of discovering information on attacking/artifact using ship

Pits Planetary Cloak against Ships cloak rating to give information to planet owner as to who is attacking the planet

This will eliminate the need to trap every planet at the sacrifice of a good chunk of planetary space

It's an interesting idea, but at those stats at least it doesn't really seem worth it.

Well .. I was trying to balance off existing modules.. an anti-resistance base is cloak +100 defense +200 at size 3 and a Robotics Lab with a +2 research is size 7.. and basically having it be a passive trap notification system I was actually thinking at size 8 it was a little OP..

what is this for? base, planet or ship?

ship the size is fine, as one module that alerts me to all my planet attacks is definitly worth it.

base is way too big. thats double the size of the repair bay, or close to two levels of space, and not worth it.

for a planet... well, what rank are you if a size 8 structure that gives 100 cloak and 100 defense is good? i have a size 2 structure that gives 1500 defense. maybe a size 2 structure with these stats of 100c/100d/alerts to planetary attacks is a good idea, but at size 8 no one but a very low level would use it, and they probably dont need it anyway cause if someone attacks their planet, most likely its a high rank they can do nothing about.

i once found a megarich planet owned by a rank 50. he tried to keep me off by sacrificing the entire planets production for attack, defense, and population. he managed to cost me an extra 50 energy, but i still took it without a problem. there is honestly NOTHING a low rank can do save for using an aegis shield that will keep a high rank off...

Meant for a planet, and honestly the defense/cloak/research bonuses are negligible... the main point of the module would be to provide for a method other then putting traps on every single one of your planets to somehow alert you to WHO is attacking your planet and WHO is firing off artifacts to weaken your planet .. The other stats are just filler to keep with the theme and still provide a use that low and high level people could get something out of..

Just my own little peeve on the game that someone can drop an engineered virus, an ion storm, etc on my planets and I have no recourse whatsoever .. I can't counter attack, I can't alert legion (other then to guard my planet) .. Yes I understand I can then buff up my planet and make it more difficult for it to be taken .. But .. I would certainly hope that sometime 1000 years from now .. if the earth is having viruses and bombs dropped on it from an alien race that we would have some governmental structure that can look through scanning logs and say oh look the attack came from there from this race .. lets mount up and go get em boys .. Instead .. its .. oh no we are being bombarded by someone randomly but we have no idea by who so lets just build bigger shields and park a couple ships in orbit in case they come back in the next couple hours .. Don't forget the donuts .. stakeouts are fun..

i agree we should be alerted to who is doing it. ive had to deal with people doing random acts of violence like this to my planets aswell. usually its some low level who dosnt know how the game is played, and i usually get a few disables off them to teach em not to attack my planets (some more then others cause they just dont get it)

however, size 8 is a huge amount of space. i can either get your alert structure, or i can put up an extra 6000 defense. and i feel that 6000 defense is better because although i may not know whos attacking me, theres a very high probability it wont matter because they cant get past the defenses. and obviously, if they can theres no point in having an alert structure because i wont be able to take it back or retaliate efficiently.

obviation shield. its 1500 right? maybe its 1200 per space. i dont remember. either or.

It is 1200, but with a domain walker from the ct lab, I can have 600 attack and 600 defense for 1 space. They are kind of expensive in terms of artifacts to make them, so I won't be piling up on these, but still.
