ok, i reread the article, and im not so sure about the exact specifications of it...

I was thinking for a new planet is to be a Mythical type planet called Utopia that is Mega Colossal sized, 48x Mega Rich in research and mining and artifacts and is available from a mission I called "Golden Fiasco"

ok, the best megacollosal in the game can only get up to 17x for all its resources... and the best 48x ive heard of is a tiny planet. for a 48x megacollosal, i could pull in 2400 resources from each category if i played my cards right. therefore, i think the exact planet specifications are way over powered. Because this is meant to be a planet for early levels to have an accellerated start, make it a massive ultrarich in each category. this would be an incredible planet for most lower levels, and would definitly keep them interested in the game longer if they got a bit of help in the beginning instead of the luck of the draw. im sure alot of players quit because they draw a small very sparse as their first planet, and it really screws em over.

"Golden Fiasco"
The Taltherian and the Genetarr are at war with each other over a relic called the "Gazer" which has the ability to show the chosen ones a group of mythical planet's coordinate's, they are both searching for the relic and fighting each other at the same time.
You the (random race) must restore peace to the galaxy by bringing the two conflicted races together with each other by finding the lost founders documents and you might find a prize sitting in your starchart's.

the story plot is good, the exact specifications might need to be changed. i dont see why 2 player races would be at war with eachother. if they were it would make no sense to allow both of them in the same legion. my vote is still for dark smugglers vs shadin or lazuli. both are NPC races, and all 3 are pirates, so it would make sense for them to go after 'treasure planet'.

Prize:
Mythical Gold Planet. (Limited to one per player)

Planet Abilities:
15% bonus to all professions.
10% Cloaking Bonus to all races.
An extra Two NPC Slots.
Planet cannot be taken over by other players nor attacked (special planet).

Requirements:
Rank Level 1 and upwards only.
Be any race.
Colonised 2 planets or more.

Mission Completions Requirement:
Spend 100 energy x 100 times x 1
Spend 1 Exotic Matter x 100 times x 1

I still think it would be better to go with ODragons suggestion of player points that can buy profession stats. that would allow players to get what they want and make their play style unique.

also, 10% cloaking bonus? although i would really like it, theres really no point because after level 150 every player would have this planet, making them harder to find...

and 2 more NPC slots? i can see where this would be really enjoyable, but i dont think low ranks need 4 NPC slots. if they do, they can do the zolazin chain. but NPC slots are one of the very best rewards in the game and i think it should be a real challenge to aquire them.

I do like that this would be a 'safe' planet. i think all players can use a decent planet that they can rely on in case of a mass effort to steal every planet they have.

honestly, the planet would be too good to pass up if it gave out all these bonuses. i think having it be a safe planet is in itself an extremely good reward. extra slots, and bonus to professions and cloak would put it over the top imo.

as for the requirements, you cant really have it be available to rank 1s... you can start colonizing 2 planets at rank 4. before then i think players would be confused about what to do and may get frustrated if theyre unsure about planets. as a fellow legionmate said, he didnt know you could scan more planets till rank 20ish.

i do like your idea for it requireing one exotic matter per period, as that would make it so new players get a sense of value early on for this rare mineral.

As for the energy requirement, you only have 80 energy when you start out. if you spend all your rank points into engineers for a couple ranks, you would have just enough to do one completion for this mission, and remember, it takes players 4 hours to get that 100 energy back... and thats if they have relays on! thats why every weekly mission is 25 energy, so all players can enjoy it. I propose we make this one 30 energy... that way its achievable for low ranks to get an amazing planet for their rank, and not too hard for high rankers to get a decent planet. i do like your idea for 100 rounds to completion. it may seem like a long way to go for a low rank, but theyll learn patience and that its worth it to keep at something for an extended period of time, which is very important in this game, especially as you unlock new missions with better rewards.

I edited said article by explaining the starchart map fragments a little more and 15% bonus will be changed to 10% to all professions.

how about if the mission required (rank+100)*100*1
This would make it more fair, because it is easier for low levels, but people like Psicore cont just finish it in a day

I dont think it matters how long it takes as long it is done and two rank 100 and up is unfair

What i meant was that is the energy requirement, so that people at lower levels can still do it, but thos at higher levels will still have a bit of a challenge. Sorry about not spelling that out

once again, unless you dedicate 4 levels to engineers when just starting out, you cant even begin to do this mission considering you start the game with 80 energy. and im VERY doubtful psicore would spend 1300x100 for a very massive ultra rich planet. i think nannochs current energy requirement of 35x100 is good, because as you go through the game youll see there are many planets with stats better than these, especially once you kill npcs enough to the point you can make the planets. im still not crazy about giving a boost to professions, but other than that this sounds like a good mission. im still not sure about how to get starchart fragments though.

What bonus will I get? I am a Zolazin Saboteur. Maybe instead of this 10% bonus, the planet doesn’t count towards your planet count?

1 x Star Chart map Fragments (common weak Ancient station is where you get them from)

So every round you have to defeat an NPC? or do you just get the fragment? Please make a little clearer.

Why rank 1, I would say minimum 10. After all you don’t get the terraformer mission unlocked til rank 25.

Oh and finally, what’s the planet stats?

or it can just act like a normal planet with the special ability of it not being invadeable. but like other ability professions, your timer would be reduced by 10%

you have to kill npcs to get fragments cause it uses one per round. its like that for every other npc piece mission... you dont have to kill em one per round, i usually kill all the npcs i need, then i do the mission.

its mentioned in the original post. very massive ultrarich in all resources.

Zolazins for example give 40% cloaking bonus and plus the planet bonus to your ship profession is 10%, so 40%+10%=50%

you defeat a npc to get a Starchart Map Fragment, its not that hard, its a fun challenge.

I will change it to rank 10 and above.

I already provided details about it, please read the article carefully

Sorry to burst your bubble D: , apparently webguydan doesn't want gold planets :(

I would love suggestions from people on how I can improve this article, please just constructive comments please!

10 planets or more colonized would make you have to be at least rank 39
comments tend to not always be constructive

FORMULA FOR NO. OF PLANETS
(rank/4)+1 so it's 36 not 39.
