WebGuyDan,
It sure would be nice if we could select a research branch to send research to by default. Let's say I plan to be researching weapons for the foreseeable future.... a small checkbox next to it so research is automatically applied there sure would be nice! Perhaps you could even do it so if more than one checkbox was checked the research would divide evenly between selections!
I'm sure this would be a big help, and people wouldn't have to lose research if they are away from their account for a day or so.
Thanx again for a great game!

I agree! I'd like to see that feature added!

That would make hacking entirely pointless. Part of playing the game is having to log in

The idea I have in that regard is having a default research path so that you only have to click on one button and it is automaticly applied to one research path. You don't really want to be working on more than one at a time, and this would help prevent screw ups.

hacking would have to be revamped. I doupt this would happen, but if it did then hackinig would be more along the lines of stealing research towards a tech that the enemy has that you don't.
ie. You have weapons 3rd tier and enemy has 5th tier. You would be stealing 100 pts towards 4th tier.
Just a thought, this would prevent the theft against lower, unequipped players, but would have to change the game almost completely to do this.

If you could just send your points wherever you wanted you could just leave for a day or two and still be growing as fast as those who are on playing and trying to play and have fun in the game. Doing this would ruin the game for me for it would take away the point of staying in the game. You would start having lvl 10 players with high lvl research just that never did anything but log in once a week just to keep their accounts running. Then once they got really high lvl's like this they would start playing more and dominate over everyone that got in their way. This is just my thoughts on this.

There will never be a process that automatically performs any actions currently in game - research or otherwise.

i agree with dan.. this would be NICE but would defeat the purpose of logging in to sell minerals, and research and Hack....
BUT something i would like to see is the ability to be able to store more minerals/artifacts/research points... either with a module you have to build on your ship... a planet Building... or just thru research... but i think it's well needed honestly and will add some variety to the game a bit more... with having to concentrate on that as another goal...
