just like the base, perhapse we can get special space on our ships. 10-25% of our decks can be special space, and with this space comes a new research tree. It can house things such as ship-level ct labs (for noob players where the discoveries start at 250 research, and then advance by 250 each level after that), advanced science labs (bonus research), military training facilities (bonus attack), and many other possibilities. this is where command decks can go, as well as some of the other random modules that dont really fit any other category (most of which have been suggested by zophah).

I like this although, personally, 3/4 of what people have found in the CT-Labs already should be there.

perhaps if dan implements this, then he can remove the discoveries from the base lab, and put them in all the legionmembers ship ct lab.

I would love to see some of what the base can do added to the ship. Either as a devices or as you put special decking.

If dan added this, how would a ship based mining and such work? This would be one of the coolest and most hard to balance peace of the idea.

well, science bays can add to the total scientist count. OR what the ship could function as an extention of the planet, you install the mining/artifact/research structures and then guard the planet, and the production from the ship is added to the production of the planet. so if you have 10 mining on your ship, and guard an ext rich mining planet with 10 mining buildings, then youd get 20 mining from the planet (multiplied by the richness percentage).

There are other ways to also do it as well:

100% bonus from not being disabled (like the base so it takes ten days to comeback)
+3% per planet you control

Small yes but also helps show another way that growing while good might not be the best. Plus it makes the players lowest end planets somewhat useful.

was thinking about the problem many high rankers face by getting too many ship-bots, and perhapse in the CT lab 10 bots, 10 msp, and 10 tesseracts could make a 'super ship bot' that would add 10 special space onto the ship.
