This is a game about attacking others. You can't just expand territory and NOT expect someone to try and take it from you. If you don't want to appear on the BT tab, have lots, and lots, and lots of cloak and you will, more than likely, not appear on the BT tab and you won't get attacked. It's not full-proof, but then, that's life.
