this is a great game, and I appreciate the work the designers have done.

I do however have a suggestion:

In the battle tab, you usually find players of similar strength so that you cannot bully much weaker planets all the time. Would it not be a good idea to do something similar with planets?

It's great that when you first start off your planets are protected until rank 20, however when you are still in lower ranks (30 or 40) and people of rank 150 or above steal / invade your planets it seems very unfair.

Would it not be a good idea to prevent attacking of planets of people much weaker than you - say 50 ranks lower. Or at the very least make it some sort of buffer line - where people over rank 100 cannot invade planets of people under rank 100?

That way it is at least a bit more enjoyable for lower ranking people who are still trying to get their strength up. When someone of rank 150 attacks the planet of someone around rank 30, the lower rank person stands absolutly no chance - they have not had time to research high enough defense and attack for their planets and they stand no chance of getting it back since the higher rank simply puts on it huge defences and attack power that you cannot even come close to challenging!

Sadly there are players who think that the best way to advance their game is to pick on much lower ranks rather than attacking planets of people their own size

a-we all started there
b-smart players go for better planets - there is a cap on ownership remember
c-make the investments in defense, lot more planets than players

Planets are free game for everyone. Higher ranking players would like to get a nice planet without having to fight tooth and nail to keep it. Trust me, you'll be singing a different tune once you get to a higher level.

I recently had a planet taken by a higher rank. There was no way I could attack him back, or have the slightest chance to get the planet back. So in retaliation, I did all I could do and put 2 traps on his ship - which he was instantly able to remove (using some artifact he obviously had). he then sent me a message on my comm threatening to alert me to his legion and have them repetitvely hack me until they got the locations of all my planets and stole them all.

That kind of cowardly behaviour really ruins the game for people.

It is reasonable to have some kind of retailiation against someone for doing soemthing to you - but when they make threats like that it makes you want to walk away from the game.

Unfortunately, personal behavior isn't as easily regulated. What Legion is he in?

You may not be able to get the planet back, but you can be compensated for your loss. If the larger enemy hasn't flux your planet, then you can always sell its location. Just check any of the numerous threads on here where someone has gone to war with someone else. If the planet was good enough for a high rank to take from you, it is likely good enough for one of their enemies to take from them.

How do you sell the location of a planet to people in other legions to you?
I didn't know you could

A) the person wanting the planet joins your legion temporarily. This is the fastest route, as you can alert right away.

B) you join the legion of the person who wants the planet temporarily. This will cost you 24hrs, since you can't alert right away after legioning another legion.

Well, first you have to find someone willing to buy it. Always use PMs in such cases, btw. To alert them you would have to leave your Legion, join theirs, wait 24 hours, alert planet, collect payment, then go back to your Legion.

Well the idea of that at least gives me some satisfation!

Maybe I can find a much higher rank who would like it's location... :-)

It is a very large toxic planet, with very rich mining resources (and only average artifact)

Yeah, I hate people who do that, they think they're the only ones who deserve to enjoy the game. If they had it their way, there'd only be a few hundred players, and then the game would be gone because there's no community to support it.
