I am a konqul spy and have been building up my cloak research, is it actually worth having a good cloak system on my ship, thoughts?

when i was a noob i focused on cloak, protected me from bullies and player haters. also you get awesome research from hacks, which i did a lot of... hacking is fun .... now i have decryption quad frames.....they are awesome...... not saying you are a noob tho.... i miss my cloak

So basically, Cloak is good, just dont research it at your level. Research Energy

that is assuming you want to power rank or rank faster. slow ranking option early in the game will help by putting you in front of many mid ranged players. easy dominions and quad frames. but i still dont know what rank you are

cloak is good, but its all about priorities. i would advise getting at least 5 cannons on your ship first, and running with zolazin jammers until you have a bit of extra space. that way you can kill npcs...

I am lvl 25 and so far have researched refraction panels mk 2, how far should i keep researching?!

Yes, those are definitely a good bonus, I still put them on if I want to try to hack someone.

Cloak can be useful, but it's all about what you want. It can keep you safe from battle tab hits, as it did for me when I was a lower level. Other than that, if you're a fan of hacking then you definitely want cloak. At higher levels, staying off the battle tab isn't too big of a deal, so only research really high levels if you want to hack. Although, you can use them to hide your planets as well.

I started at erg and atk. but now at rank 400+ I'm going back to cloak Cloak is good and worth getting but i dont think it is the bast to have.

personally i think it really depends on what you want to do in the game, i am a zolazin spy, and at lvl 200 some i only ever get hit by lvl 300+ with really good scan, other than that people cant find me unless i hack them, which happens often lol. but you are also a konqul, if you pvp i have found that cloak in pvp means diddly squat, you want high attack, defense and high hull/sheild. so again it all depends on how you personally play the game.

Cloak is a great thing to have, i switched to zolazan to get extra cloak, it is good for a few reasons:
- protects you from enemies
- allows you to hack people, if you can hack you can get extra research, or even new planets
- some mission require cloak- misssions like the lauzli chain require it

BUT, you need to research some other things as well, researching:
weapons
energy
and planetary construction is a MUST
you need to prioritize your research, If you want to be an npc hunter research attack, defense, and energy
if you want to be a hacker research cloak, scan, and energy

It all depends on your playing style

All you really need for a long time is just the zolazin jammers and the quad frames. That is enough to stop you from getting randomly atacked. If you want to be a major hacker then go for some cloak research.
