The defense on Rogue Tech Collectors is stupidly high for something so worthless to 100+ players. They give drop a low amount of XP and only a measly 1-2 Tech Parts. Hell, my friend, who is a Rank 80-something, even says that the drop isn't worth the energy expended.

I think it's like the Dark Iso-Runners, they're MEANT to be hard to kill, 'cause if you need those Complex Parts (like for a Legion Base upgrade) then you'll spend the Saboteur or Energy to kill them.

My legion needs tech parts bad! However, I wont bother with the tech collectors. Way too small of a return. I can make more faster just by selling a single artifact. If the tech collectors gave at least 20 tech then it would be worth it. Yo have to be desperate to go after them the way they are. For example: You need 2000 tech. Are you really gonna kill a thousand collectors? that would take years between an entire legion.

if that would be true, then it shouldnt be a common npc. its meant to slow people down from leveling. no other reason. the complex tech was just an added bonus so people would actually try to kill them instead of just clearing em with that ability... i agree with lowering their defense, but i dont think itll happen.

I kill two or three every day, sometimes more. And that's just by myself, if I was part of a more aggressive legion we'd be pulling in a few hundred tech parts a day.

And yea you can make more selling a single artifact, but FINDING an NPC that drops an artifact sellable for Complex Parts is rarer for me than getting the equivalent from killing Tech Collectors (though yes, it does cost more Energy)

I think Tech Collectors are ridiculously hard for 1 or 2 tech parts. They should drop more parts the higher level they are. By rank 192 like I am, they should drop like 25 parts. That would be fair.

i think less defense and more tech would be useful, however, i dont think the defense issue is going to be tackled anytime soon... the increase tech part amount SHOULD be addressed as soon as possible. players rank faster than the base, but the tech requirement increases faster than players level, so it makes sense to have an increase in tech parts to compensate...

They probably don't drop more for higher levels because they aren't any more difficult at higher levels. In fact, many matched NPCs get easier at higher levels.

dosnt that really depend how high a rank you are? if you use rank points for tactical officers, yes they do get easier as you level. especially if you get 2-3 rescued prisoners per level... but if you go decks or engineers, they get much more difficult as you progress...

Vekno is right. A majority of people invest in decks from what I've heard. However, I think more tech is the best idea. NOBODY cares about 1 or 2 tech parts. The mission where they are necessary unlocks at rank 200, where 1 or 2 parts makes no real difference. Upgrading a base, they sort of do for low players. But still, it's way too low at higher ranks.

There like that so ppl who have big gunz and a lot to tat officers don't obliterate them. I don't have a prob with them the way they are, tech parts should be hard to get.today we make this easier tomorrow some thing new then the whole game just fly buy. Some things gota be a pain.
