Hey all... new to the game and the boards. I'm wondering, how do I get better minerals? Is there some magic number of holds or planets I have to have before I start getting Kurenite or Aidonium? It seems like a random distribution of what's given out with the highest odds on the lowest paying materials. But even then, I've still never seen Kurenite (not that I'm high level or anything).

The higher rank you are, the rarer the minerals you collect.

Also increasing mining always helps.
1000 mining=say 10 kurenite? (Just an example) If you have, say, 2000 mining you'll get 20 kurenite... (again, the figures are random.)

Oh, and deck space is supposed to make a difference... Don't put rank points into them though.

People are referring to cargo, not decks. Cargo means you can receive more minerals at a time, but it does nothing to increase the odds that the minerals you are receiving are higher quality. Dan has stated that the ONLY thing that affects the quality of minerals received in a shipment is rank.

Thanks for all the responses. I guess some of the beginner guides are outdated. I read in one that rank makes no difference, but the answer didn't seem to make a lot of sense either. And it seems like you have to put some ranks into cargo space early on or you can't swap equipment. I'm currently doing at least 4 into decks and then the other 1 goes into decks or cargo depending on what I seem to need more.

I dug around, and asked some questions of higher ranking players, and ultimately found that prior to Rank 100 it's probably best to have ~55 Cargo per 100 Decks, assuming you're an Artifact hoarder or switch out Modules like myself.

I wouldn't waste putting points into cargo, although you will not be able to store equipment at lower ranks the equipment is so cheap it doesn't matter sell and rebuy, if you can get into a decent legion they should be able to help you out financially or feel free to send me a pm with your facebook details and i'll send you some kurenite to get you started, imho points into decks are wasted. As for mineral draws I think you will not see much of a shift in the distribution untill rank 80-85 when dysillion and kurenite appear with much more regularity.

Yeah, at which point your mining can as much as triple.

I don't want to come across as picky thunderbolta, but as the OP is a newbie I think I should clarify it's not the mining which will triple but the income recieved from said mining.

Lots of good information to think about here.
Does anyone know at what level you can sell Kurenite?

Any. The earliest I've heard anyone get it from mining was rank 15. It is buy and sellable at all ranks.

I have always noticed a diffence of having over at least empty 100 cargo space to get Kurenite. The more empty cargo space you have the more minerals you can get. So yes cargo space does make a difference.
