I'm making this because I had an idea for creating an awesome planet and I wondered what ideas others might have. So here is mine and please share your ideas too.
Concept: I have a Very Massive Gas planet with Very Rich research. I will make it mega rich x15 by use of Rouge Labpods, I will max out a passive 1k attack (Gas Ignitor Rods while it is still gas) and 2.1k defense then turn it into a Plasma planet (+2 research, +300 passive defense, +1 size) allowing me to add certain special structures not normally allowed on a gas planets. To finish I will use Kronyn Datacubes to increase the research value from x17 to x23.
Brinsa, Collosal Plasma Planet Mega Rich x23 1 Sha'din Hypergrid Network (+1 Research, +200 defense) 1 Weather Controller (+2 Research, +200 Population) 2 darkmines (+600 attack, +25% attack) 1 Modified Grid-Phylon (+2 research, +200 defense, +150 cloak) 1 Silthion Gas Vesicule (+2 research) 2 Sha'Jha Uplinks (+2 research, +120 cloak) 1 Permafrost Sub-network (+1 research, +50 population, +50 cloak 1 Relay Tower (+1 research, +1 artifact) 1 Refining Lab (+1 research, +1 mining) 2 dominion walkers (+600 attack/defense) 1 DM79 Datacenter (+4 research) 1 Hypersensor Satellite(+2 research, +2 artifact) 2 Resonance Inhibitors (+500 invasion defense, +250 cloak) 3 Lazuli Pylons (+600 invasion defense) 1 Exotic Lab (+1 research) 1 Interrogation Center (+2 research, +300 defense) 1 Counter-Intelegence Nexus (+2 research, +150 cloak) 3 Hypernode Brain (+12 research) 3.1k passive cloak ( 900 from Hyper-Dimensional Anchors and the rest from Interspacial Fold Generators) 2.4k passive defense ( 2.1k from Gravitic Amplifier, +300 from going plasma) 1k passive attack (Gas Ignitor Rods)
Research Output: 59 (End output: 1,033) Base Cloak: 3,950 Base Defense: 4.4k [7.2k invasion] Base Attack: 5,313
So all of that leaves you with a planet that is putting out 1k research an hour and (at a 60 person legion) around 22k planetary invasion defense (debuffs included) that can't be affected by Saboteurs or Cluster Missiles and is impossible to scan. Plus, unlike a made dyson, most of it is just from long and hard work instead of tons of GP.

didn't max scan recently increase with the inclusion of some +X% scan modules?
also, after you build one of these, what's the next best you can do?

I was under the impression that max passive cloak from the IFG's was 3100 and defense from the Gravitic Amplifier 2100. Fitting in an omnibase would improve it. It's quite similar to my natural dyson.

If this is a natural dyson, you only get +2 from the DM79 Datacenter (+4 research) and you can't use Gas Rods for Passive attack on it.
As someone else said, you can't get passive cloak above 3100 (I'm stuck at 3090) and defense above 2100.

It's a converted gas planet. Don't know how it got to 23x megarich. Though the limit without special artifacts was 15x. The plasma conversion could get it to 17x.
Only 1k/hr? All those defensive structures take up a lot of useful space.
From a 15x massive hyperterraformed planet I get 950 resources an hour. It'll be more once I get an omnibase in there. Probably 1k. If I use the NPC-dropped QSE in my hold and get it up to v.massive and get some better artifacts like datacentres I could squeeze even more production. It has the standard 10k passive effects and was made from NPC-dropped terraformers.
Your design gives more of one resource though. I only get 800 RP/hr from my 15x v.massive research planet which includes the Vygoid bonus. It's no where near as well defended as you design either.

Yes, I used mine on a planet greater then 15x Mega probably the best reward from a bi weekly mission so far.

I used one to upgrade a v.massive abundant planet to something half decent but those other 5 should get me to 20x. Those datacubes are awesome. Way less energy than hunting for rogue labpods. My 15x research planet is a metallic one and there's only one artifact which boosts their production higher than 15x - the Dyson terraformer.
Hopefully if a biweekly mission in the future drops something which boosts metallic planets I can get it even higher.

I will use Gas Rods on it while it is still a gas planet to gain the 1k passive attack then when it becomes a plasma planet I will add the DM79 Datacenter and Interrogation Stronghold (which I forgot to put in there, I'll edit that). You can do that because I've seen reports that once you turn a gas planet plasma it no longer counts as a gas planet thus allowing you to use items that are normally hindered or prevented by a gas planet. As for the passive cloak and defense limit, well that sucks and kind of dampens my plans as that would leave my 3k defense and 2k cloak under my desired points. I hadn't seen that anywhere in the wiki so I assumed there wasn't a cap, I'll recalculate that into my first post. Remainder wrote: Only 1k/hr? Technically I am only using 9 spaces for non-research items and for a colossal planet with this kind of resource value that's not bad at all. I've seen people say how it would take 21 spaces to create an un-scannable planet from just structures and if somebody found this and really wanted it standard defenses are useless as they could cluster missile the thing to death (I know I would). As for the exact research output, I may have messed it up some. The idea came to me at 1 in the morning and I was up all night putting the idea together so I expect some errors. Actually when I saw that on the forums it is what sparked my entire idea for a Plasma planet beyond compare. Also to note this doesn't include any traps I would put on the planet so those also add to the planet.

I will say that your greatest planet would still be second best to a 23x mega colossal that has a permafrost sub used on it when it was icy and a Quantum Hydro-Meliorator. The changes: Lost: -2 research from DM79 -1000 attack (passive) -300 defense (passive) Gain: +1 research +250 Population +50 Cloak +6 Planetary Spaces +2 ranks mining +2 ranks artifacts Those 6 planetary spaces make up for the passive in 3 spots (+1200 for Quasi-Chaos Minefield and +600 Darkmine, +25%) and you still have 3 extra spaces to put on more resources.

Now see I question if that is really that much better.
The main gain there is that you gain those +6 extra planetary spaces but I see the loss of 1k passive attack and 300 passive defense too great. Yes you can put standard defense on it but those can just be take out by cluster missiles or saboteurs and +250 population is but a speed bump to whomever would be powerful enough they would try to take this planet. And even if you fill those 6 spaces with artifact buildings your end result is still about the same.

The other benefit is that in addition to having the + resource levels to make it worth putting other items on that give you resources and your attack. 2 x Phase Cutters (+200 attack) Antimatter Drill (+400 attack) Heist Dispatch Center (+150 Attack) Warp Gate 6 spaces, +750 attack, +5 mining, +3 artifact, +1 research and you can still have everything else.

That would be cool to have. how ever i still would like to own a x28 mega rich with 10k passive atk/def and cloak. Other then that i don't mined the new races that let you make a massive planet in to a x15 in a week or two. but if you can get a x23 go for it but i don't want all my eggs in one planet.
