Same issue. One Zolazin in seven. I'm about to give up on the mission completely. It's costing way too much.

The reward is well worth it. Even if you finish it once. Perseverance will pay off :)

I have killed about 12 regular and one chron shift ship. I have yet to get a sight of a zolazin ship and have been beating my ship all to hell trying to get through these NPC ships im a 124 level ship and am getting my butt kicked up between my shoulder blades with nothing to show for it. There are 2 missions that require us to fight the NPC ships but all i see are dark warper, replicator raider and tech ships. Is there a scan or cloak requirement that has to be meet in order to find them? :( :(

Thank you very much. LOL Glad I quit at 3 since I am only a Rank 59 now. I also have noted that my new NPCs got slightly stronger each time I disabled one, so after 3 disables the strongest of my two NPCs is now my weakest at 500 ship strength ! What an increasing FIASCO, where I see no chance for lower levels, unless they desire to spend a lot of real $ on GPs !

Change your race and profession? Anyone can get that for like $3 real money spent on GP's. I think a better, more permanent reward would be...

1. A nice building- Invasion defense from cyborg soldiers or a high tier research building since Zolazins are supposedly "tech advanced aliens"

2. Ship module- Maybe a bonus reactor that gives +50 energy, or a bonus attack module with +50 attack

3. Terraforming artifacts.

Something along these lines? Thats just my opinion. Just one of these would be worth it.

Well, to non paying players, it's an incredible reward and even for paying guys anyway.

It gives you the chance to correct a mistake? Or at high lvl for instance I prefer being builder than miner ... Upkeep is just insane.

There's many applications possible.

Oh and btw guys ... Why do you think you aren't finding Zolazin ships so often?? What are the Zolazins? Their profession / abilities? Doesn't ring a bell?

The mission briefing and the Chapter 3 description says that the Zolazin are out in force because of what we players did in Chapter 2. So that stands to reason that there would be many Zolazin ships, and they're now supposedly actively seeking you out instead of the other way around.

Yes but in the end they are stealthy androids ... So raise up your scans if you want to find them before they find you ;)

However, for the purposes of this mission, Zolazin are not cloaked - you will not need extra scan to find them.

I finally found a Zolazin ship, it was a weak one, rank 10, only took me 4 or 5 shots. 9 to go....
EDIT now Im working on a Dranik sentry but I have gotten disabled 3 times already by it. Speaking of that Dranik Sentry would it be more beneficial to add more hull and sheild or more defence?

Any idea, or recommendation as to what level one should be to say even complete this mission once? Ie: get 10 sets of debris?

I'm mid-30's and am working on my 4th NPC, but have yet to see a zolazin ship. One of the NPC's on my radar is level 45, and the other is level 30. They kick my butt! LOL! I take massive damage. Every time I disable one, they seem to be replaced by one of higher level.

It will take me a long time at this rate...

I'm not a developer, and i've seen two Zolazin ships so far. Dan isn't trying to make people buy points at all. It's a challenge, and the high level players will appreciate it. These missions will likely be added as standard missions at a future date anyways.

Just keep trying, they will show up eventually.

I have to agree here... some higher level content is always useful to keep folks interested. I am level 59, have only taken out 4 regular NPC ships, and am satisfied with my race and professsion, so I currently do not plan to work any more towards this and will return to regular missions instead. Maybe in 100 levels I will want to change, and by then I should be able to do this a little easier... I reckon we will see.

I can not give you a recomendation because I do not know your HANDICAP level. I do realize at this point mine is very HIGH, levied why or by what degenerate sadistic a$$hole, I have no idea. What I will tell you is what it took ME to Disable my first NPC !

1] Attacked with 7, [seven], Heavy Ion Cannons.
2] Had Defense of about 100+.
3] Had Shields at 200+,
4] Purchased the Shield Doubling Artifact to bring my shields to 400+.
5] Had to purchase 2 Shield refills.
5] With an energy Refill, it took me well over 500 energy points.
6] Also had to repair my Hull twice.

I was a Rank 58, now a 59. I quit after my 3rd NPC, [ without seeing a Zolazin ], because I also saw they got stronger after each time I disabled one, and thus were harder to disable !
You have to judge whether the reward is worth the expenditure based your historical expenditure and anticipated future estimated expenditure. Not even close to worth it for me ! I don't mind a challenge but see no reason to utilize my resources foolishly at any level !

I will add that the ships have not necessarily gotten harder each time for me... my first two ships were levels 40 and 45. As I disabled them, in order, they were replaced by

35
70
35
45

As for them being hard to take out, I reckon that they are not any harder than fighting a player that puts all his research into armor, shields, weapons and defense trees and skips the others.... they just seem difficult to the rest of us because we put research into other trees as well...

Oh, I do want to also say, all my ships were commons, and the 70 was taken out with patience... sure, he won each fight, but I could go and repair hull every 5 min while he could not, so I chipped away at him until he was gone and took him out in the end without artifacts, just patience.

By HARDER I mean Ship Strength, [ Attack + Defense ], in conjunction with Shield & Hull strength. In 3 Disables the highest enemy ship strength jumped from 500 to 650. The larger jump was in defense which means its going to take more energy to disable it, not to mention the increase in enemy shield or hull power. The enemy Attack increase means that my ship would take more damage, and since it would require more attacks due to enemy defense, this would also add additional damage to my ship.
:)

@integrityseeks. I would always try to raise my defense to similar and up to triple the amount of the enemies attack stat. That way, the damage I take is substantially reduced. Although it is not always possible to get such a high defense, aim for it. :)

Apparently the debris are tradable. You can always ask a legion member with high lvl to trade some of his for some artifacts you could have if you really think you can't do it.

I notice that being a lower level ship will grant you more zolazin ships. At times back to back. One of my legion partners sent me his points because he kept getting zolazin ships over and over. I was not getting any zolazin ships just many NPC ships whooping my tail. My attack is high which I think makes a difference too.

THE PRIZE IS NOT WORTH IT. Save your money, time and resources. Its cheaper to just buy 20 points to change your race.

Some of us are not willing to pay for a game. Like me. I think is a GREAT reward for non-payers who made a mistake in their race/proffesion which is VERY common. I will definetly be able to fnish this within 3 days. It has been 2 days and I am 4/10 done.

I just finished today, and all I had to do was repair like 30 times, no artifacts or anything.
