I don't know how the game art is developed by the game creators but I wanted to suggest a new type of option for players. I noticed that ships evolve in size as decks are added so naturally a small ship could be made really big and offers a wide variety of customizable options. So if this is true for equipment, why not the way the ships look themselves? It really wouldn't be asking for much just to have the freedom to unlock new skins for a ship. For example a ship could start out looking as a standard scout with the original art, then a player can unlock different skins for the ship as the ship grows. This does not have to be a permanent application on the ship art itself the player can choose to have their ship retain the original look it had or have it change appearance to whatever design they deem most appealing. You can even hold an art contest on the forums or have a vote over which designs would be applied to which ships as they grow. Or just make it a surprise for everybody and have the artists make up designs that would be deemed most applicable for the size of a ship. I think that a star destroyer or a colossal galaxy destroyer should look as awesome and fearsome as its name suggests. This is my suggestion and idea. I don't know if it's been suggested before but I'd like to know if this can be done or not. Thank you.

For every race and every size? I think it would take a while to make all the images. Although it would be awesome, gotta go with -1, because there are a few idea that should be added to the game other than this (Upgradable Species, CommonWealths Military and Capital Planets idea)

Would be nice if what you equiped actually came up on your ship. hull would be ships colour and texture, defence would be the engines. shield would be near the top. would be so epic ^^. i have 16 weapons, so upfront they would be spread round evenly.

I would like to see the Ship screen look like the Legion Base screen. It is much more user friendly.

That being said its also been stated that all the art is purchased not home grown so It would be an expense on Dans part to update it .
as a matter of fact I know the human ship was ripped from a very cheesy sci fi movie and some of the artifacts come from other sources I have seen .

lol i found a tutorial on making the rsl seige cannon online. im not sure if dan is tryin to make some new ones, and just buyin the rest to pick up the slack, or if he found a newer more detailed website, cause it seems the newer ships in the game have alot more faces than the previous ones...
