I'm wondering if everyone has this number by the button, or if it's just me. It's not a big deal or anything, but if there's a way to make it go away, I'd like to know.

Everyone is supposed to have it there, it shows how many new artifacts have been added to the market since the last update. Structural Extender is the "newest" one that came out in the update.

But isn't it meant to go away once you have looked at the artifact? Or do I have to buy one to stop it annoying me now.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I think it is there till there is another big update. So if the new update adds nothing to the market, there will be no number.
