Isolationism: +5% to Artifact, Mining and Research (all kept in the borders) and a lower legion bonus (Example: max. 90-95% bonus)

Why would an isolationist restrict the defense? If anything you should invert the bonuses.

nice to see this is back to active, I would really love to see a democratic or republic form of government, something that allows members to vote on things!

* What sort of things would people be able to vote on?

* Whatever those things would be there would need to be types of bonuses and stuff of which many can be inactive at a time but some would disable others. These consequences woudl need to be clearly Identifiable by all members

* A vote timer would need to be implemented regular members could request 1 vote be put to the group per day, officers could put forth one vote submitted by a member to be voted on per day (but not their own request!)

* When a player gets the vote timer reset their vote request will be removed and they will have to request a new vote be put in play.

* When an officer puts a vote up to be voted on it marks it on the requests list as 'up for vote' so it can't be put to vote again

* A leader can directly request a vote on one item per day, and will get a 24 hour veto timer on any passed vote, after which if the veto button is not clicked the vote will go into effect, and the list of possible votes will show which of the possible choices is active if any.

* It woudl be best either to have lots of very small bonuses, like 100 bonuses that are small and duplicated across several choices such as:

1. vote on "some name of some law" +2% mining yeild, +2% XP from missions +2 recharge rate

2. vote on "some name of some law" +2% cloaking on ships and 4% on planets, +2% energy capacity of ships +2% Mining Yeild

3. vote on "some name of some law" +4% research yeild, +2% Artifact yeild +2 recharge rate

4. vote on "some name of some law" +5% chance of finding NPCs which are marked Rare or better, -10% Defense of all NPCs, +4% XP from NPCs

5. vote on "some name of some law" +3% chance critical hack, +10% crew atk/dff in raids +10% Research points from hack

6. vote on "some name of some law" +2% chance earning a second badge when you get a badge, +10% chance to get the full cost of colonization or 1/2 the cost of invasion returned to you +5% Hull on ships
.
.
.
100. vote on "some name of some law" +5% Hull on ships, +2 recharge rate, -10% Defense of all NPCs,

I hope that last bit is clear enough..

I think goverments are being released (not many of them at first) when combat is here.Gotta find a thred were dan posted something about it.
Edit: here is is

Quote:
While developing some of the combat features, we realized that it made sense to include some new diplomacy options, so its taking a bit longer to polish

In addition, we wanted base combat to feel different from other types of combat, so we've been working hard on the 'countermeasures' and other base combat abilities that will play a key role in its defense.

Thanks everyone for your patience. We get closer every day.

as far as i know, he is still taking suggestions and developing them slowly, I think it was something like 4 will be released when base combat comes out, so he will expand on this
But thanks for the update!
