I have found that in speaking with other players, that they are of the same opinion as myself when it comes to changing races and not having the ability to reset ones rank points. As I have done, I am also certain others have made mistakes when they first started playing this game and figuring out what works and when is key. I think it would make sense to have an option to reset your rank points upon selecting a new race.

People that buy 50 dollars worth of GP could do a quick energy run by reloccating all of their rank points to engineers, then do it for a NPC run with helmsman and tac officers. They could do whatever they wanted and then switch back. -1

that is true, seems like cheating the system a little bit, but maybe it would be better if it was a onetime rank point reset

I think this should at least be a GP option, but maybe after you pick a race a screen will come up with "would you like to reset your rank points? Yes or No" then you choose one and have fun... so +1 but make it harder to do, maybe a cool down?

While at first glance this may look like a good idea for those who feel they made a few missteps along the way, imagine a rank 501 resets their rank points. MINIMUM of 2500 rank points, assuming they never once got rither kind of rescued prisoner artifact or any points on the daily draw. I suspect the total would be over 4000 rank points. Super unbalancing, -1.

Yeah... although I wish that we could reassign, there isn't much we can do.
