WHAT IF
you can choose up to 5 items to pick from in the daily reward
Right now we have
Energy Cubes Trimatrix Emblems Credits Research Rank Points GP
now, research is still very important, especially at low ranks. but once you get past rank 150 the amount recieved just isnt substantial. i remember when i was around rank 40 and id get almost 90 minutes of research, but now i dont even get 30. most players that are mid to high rank in the eyes of dan dont really need the research anymore but they need ship buffing artifacts instead.
so what if we can choose 5 rewards that we randomly recieve in the daily. GP is a freebie because its so rare, and seasonal items take priority over the list. that way players who are snail levelers can choose to get research, rank points, credits, ship buffing artifacts, and minimize energy gains. however energybuilds and deck heavy players can maximize rank points, ship buffs, and energy artifacts.
not only would this system allow players to choose what type of rewards they want to recieve and give them the illusion of controll, but it would also open the door for introduction of new artifacts into the daily reward that players could have a chance to get.
i posted this in another thread but my comment was largely ignored, so im posting it here.

i see you disagree, but why? this would allow people who need specific artifacts to set a priority to them, instead of having to get stuff they dont need. i mean, wouldnt you prefer to switch out your research reward with something like a buffed up insignia of independence?

Have to say -1 its pretty much self explanatory, because this easily manipulates daily rewards i say NO CHANGES to the daily reward unless its a special holiday. Plus I could just take out credits and boom, GP Rank Points, Research or Energy recharges easily.

you need to choose 5. right now we dont have any options. with the introduction of this new insignia, perhapse we can trade out a more useless reward for it. but you still need to choose 5, maybe a minimum of 5, but still enough to allow for randomization.

It still rules out all the bad rewards, if we had the Insignia Permanently added which i think it should NOT be . I could take out Credits and Research, leaving me with the BEST rewards. All of the others are good. So thats easily misused

how would you remove credits and research? gp is a freeby, and is automatically included at all times, but still at its current rarity. you might be able to remove credits, or research for the insignia, but then you would have to deal with your production to pick up any slack you might encounter.

Production is easy to come by, the way to rule it out, your saying pick 5 items, and you get those randomly from the daily reward but you dont get the other ones you didnt pick. Meaning i could take the other two out and leave the rest.

Seems good to me, make it that you can only pick the same artifact every 4 times, so you must choose other rewards instead energy cubes and tri-emblems all the time.

I had made a post before I think... or maybe a I meant to but never did. I agree right now I am not really happy with the daily reward system because I have nothing to look forward too. My personal thought was a day by day system that offers a different reward each day.
Day 1: 4 hours worth of Minerals. Day 2: 4 hours worth of Research. Day 3: 1 Energy Cube. Day 4: 4 hours worth of Artifacts. Day 5: 1 Random Rare or Elite ship added to your battle tab. Day 6: 1 Tri Matrix. Day 7: 5 GP.
The rotation would start over after day 7, and the rotation would start over if you missed a day (24 hours not logged in). As for players that would just leave the browser open all day every day, the page would need to be refreshed at some point for it to count. Seasonal rewards would interrupt your reward for the day but not interrupt the day your on.
I would give you a -1 only because it seems like a hand out more than a daily reward.

BUT most players are uncomfortable with getting credits or research, either because theyre low enough level to not need the credits, or high enough level to not need the research. And then of course, theres the rank points, which i put on the same level as credits now... theyre a huge disappointment, because i usually get 2-3 ship bots a day and 1 or 2 rescued prisoners, BUT theyre still useful. i remember tho when i was under rank 100, and 2 rank points seemed like a gift from god because of my limited artifact producton. The reason i suggested it the way i did is because everyone has preferences on what they like to get. if more options were involved and implemented, ie the contact coordinates or the overclock production, then players could choose what THEY want, and still not have to lose out on their chances to get energy. as for the way the daily is run, i still am hoping dan implements the three card draw. that is, there are 3 options, and you pick one. you get whatevers behind door number whatever, and then you get to see what you could have had. imo that would be much better than a one click randomization, because at least then players would have the illusion of strategy when chooseing their daily, and if they didnt get energy or the reward they wanted then it would be their own fault... and of course, if you guys have better alternatives to what i suggested, dont be shy about sharing! lol, the only way we'll develop ideas is if we share what we're thinking and improve on previous posts.
