The thing with this is, how is it different from just getting an energy cube and dumping energy to base ?

yea, you could have em into the base even if you have not researched the required tree ! And their could be a yellow[energy], purple[exotic matter], and black[tech parts]. anyone agree?

I was thinkin, 0.5%.

So if say.

Lv5 base needed 5mil Energy, 2mil EM, 1mil TP

The artifact will pick from random one of those areas and deposit 0.5% of the overal total into base. So in this case would be;

25k Energy

Or

10k EM

Or

5k TP


Should one area be done already, say TP done, the artifact will only pick from Energy and EM. And will deposit the fixed amount, so if energy only needed 35k will put in 25k, same as it would if needed 1-5mil.

Im not so great at balancing but hopefully that gives the basic idea.

Personally I would put it as baselevel%
Level 1: 1%
Level 2: 2%
Level 3: 3%
Level 4: 4%
Level 5: 5%
Level 6: 6%
Level 7: 7%
Level 8: 8%
Level 9: (if released) 9%
Level 10: 10%

And make it extremely rare - like, rarer than tri-matrixes.

maybe more along the lines of gp rare cause I get tri-matrixes quite frequently and more often than not more frequently than energy cubes in a weeks time

yea I'd say a constant % say 1% and I'd have it so you could choice which it was.
