Ding. Rank 1400. 6157 purger completions (most of it crap I might add, never found a Dyson damn you RNG, I just make my own 15x planets now...), 1 million battles or something like that. Now what ?

I'm thinking, if I could reset and get even just 200 GP for radiant cannons later on, but even that's not essential, I'd reset and do things differently (I only spend GP to abandon planets now that I know that only planet size matters in the long run, and I'm stuck with old inferior planets to drop). I wouldn't have bothered with father relays (I don't even put relays on anymore) since I would still do an energy build, I still would get the 2x radiant cannons at rank 800 maybe. I would know how I'd use my glaviz devices. I'd leave a bunch of missions unfinished (lack of interest in the reward and/or low xp, no need to do 100% completion next time), and leave a couple key mission npc spawning ones undone. Hell, then I could finally drop under 50 scan (when you get all mission tiers you CANNOT avoid tech collectors, 56 scan or so is hardwired in your ship). Also no more passive cloak drops, or most of the interesting npcs or bosses left.... just dozens of Telarys carriers that no one wants to kill and the same 4 things over and over while waiting for a planet drop npc.

In short, I have "won", since pvp is dreadfully dull and unrewarding to me with the traps (and in general despite 350 null fuses, the pace is still glacial), and there's not much (productive) to do but farm npc drops to make 15x planets for no particular reason other than to get yet higher energy and stats. I've lost my sense of purpose, other than helping my friends.

I didn't think I'd burn out on the game but now I'm starting to feel like I am. I still love my legion, friends are the only reason I've been able to tolerate going this far (good company), but honestly I have mastered all aspects of the game mechanics I was interested in and there's not much left to do.

Only one question, should I reset ?

Sounds like it would be good if some entirely new features of the game unlock at a very high rank, things that can keep your interest without doing the same old same old over and over! Or maybe when you reach a certain rank, the ability to reset some features, without resetting all of them - or something

just play around for a bit wait for people to make it up there them battle them. Join some legion war. Take out and farm a top ten legion there still plenty to do right?

Edit at least wait for base combat to happen.

No -- as stated I hate pvp and find it boring. It's not a matter of waiting for people to get up there plenty of dys have a bazillion tac officers cause all they do is pvp. I just don't personally (or in game really) find it rewarding.

I all ways wondered what i would do if i made it to the top and had a then what thing.. start a legion and train new players. Stay in chat with your friends but teach others how to play.

give away everything you own periodically.... legions are always looking for techparts nowadays.....

I think you should go around helping some of the legions that aren't in the top 20, hell, maybe not even in the top 50. I just recently found a guy rank 219 with a phase cannon and 7 ion cannons equipped.

hopefully he knows better, but probably doesn't. I think that would be the most rewarding thing you could do.

if you do reset, where would you go? most legions won't take newbies. I'm sure PoTC would but what help would you be to them as a rank 1? then not to mention all the time and possibly money you've spent on everything you already have. that would be money wasted.

Well I would say no because well look lol Base Battles soon so you should wait for that.
You could either reset or wait for new content for higher ranks.

I'd also wondered what I would do when I hit really high level. I kind of like PVP but not enough for it to keep me solely interested in the game.

I thought being a wandering rogue trainer helping legions would be a great thing. So many folks would benefit from it, and the game would benefit from it.

On the other hand, I also hope that by the time I'm at your level, Dan will have added a ton of new stuff.

I also hope that there will be higher rank stuff to do by the time i get to 1000+ but if i was in your condition i would be bored also but probably try to see what the max engineers or decks i could have on my ship or something to give me a purpose.

of time when you rank up, and come to the same conclusion, yet again.

The game's been changed since Rev started, an it was done specifically te make sure no one could follow his path te rank 40-50 times in a few hours. When yer so successful that te game designer has te rework elements te try an slow things down, that's when ye know yer winnin!

As far as the potential reset goes, I discussed it wit Rev an I gotta admit, his spirits improved jus at te mention o possibly doin it all again. That the game has changed, an wit all he's learned from doin it te first time, perhaps an even faster, better, more efficient way can be had te do it all again! Sounds like a true gamer te me! I know all the best games I've played were run through two te three times er more, an I kept refinin me strategies. Regardless o the final outcome, if it's what ye want te try, I say go fer it!

Wow, thats a bummer. I hope i dont ever hit that stage. It sure is lonely at the top. Ixianna is so right saying that the really good games you will play through a few times. Perhaps you will find more fun starting over. Maybe find a few Dysons this time. I havent gotten any yet either ANyhow, if you do start over you could design the best low level legion this galaxy has ever seen. You really wouldnt miss out on any base combat stuff either. one, you are not into pvp, two, if it does become appealing to you i am willing to bet it will be just as active at the lower levels as it is with the big boys.

If you do decide to start over there is just one thing you cant do. You can never look back. DOnt leave any room for regret and just fully commit to starting from scratch again. Remember, when you first start out you only get 20 energy per hour, ouch.

I can't say I understand how you feel, given that I'm only a Rank 190. But hey, if it makes you feel better, reset. Give away your artifacts and planets so at least they're put to good use. I don't know if planets are nuked out of existence if you reset your account. Anyway, I hope you find that spark again, mate.

Leave your best planets in the hands of your best legion mates, have them give it back to you so you can have a headstart .
Personally, i think you shouldn't reset.

don't do it.... start another account... don't tell anyone don't make any friends.... and start from 1... de-active the current facebook...
