 Battling! shouldnt ther be a point were you miss the target?

When Battling shouldn't there be a point were you miss fire the target. We are ships right? in space moving from point a to point b! So battling wont be stationary... it would be constant moving with tactical moves.. unless on a planet

Am i making any sense?

-1 It would be incredibly annoying. Besides, as you get bigger, it becomes even harder for ships to miss you.

That's a standard weapons inventory for a high ranker, surely at least one bullet would hit the enemy. :)

im not saying every shot you took would miss the target im saying maby one out of every 13 or so would miss and not hit the intended target. and at random times so it wouldn't be a pattern.

still -1, that would just make a horrible addition to the game... I agree it would get very annoying to waste energy.

not relay because once again you got to put in those negative things once in a while to mix it up,have it be realistic... imagine a PvP battle in outer space not every single shot will count because the ship is moving

Yah, but if you're carrying 40 Guns, no way that you are going to miss. And technically when you attack something as in click "Attack . It's not firing one shot, imagine it like a battle were two ships are unloading are armories of bullets at each other.

Yea but this isnt real life. Its a fantasy pixelated world. Their are already tons of negative things.

Well it's how i pictured it anyway, when you click attack once, your battle stats increase by one.
Just a random stat i found :
Battles 1667 (Seasoned)
^ Technically 1667 battles , not really 1667 bullets fired :mrgreen:

like i posted in another thread, it would work if this was a consol came, where you could actually control your ship in some way, but for a click and it happens...its not that good... and would get annoying

Increasing in defense directly results in a decrease in damage taken. If you didnt have any defense you would take alot more damage. So there is alot of missing going on, it just doesnt directly say it.

All the thrusters and the grid console artifact implies that that they help your ship to dodge.

you don't freakin realize the higher defense ( higher speed and maneuverability) the less damage you take? the less damage is from less projectiles and/or beams hitting/grazing you.

This is Dan's entire justification as to why defense isnt so much the mitigation effects of your hull and shield but the maneuverability of your ship. As far as I know though the equation for damage either is or is similar to many quadratic functions, unless you have 0 attack the amount of damage you do will never reach 0, it will however get really really really small.
