yes you have to kill npcs, look in the wiki to see which npc drops a module that can be scrapped for tech parts, each time you scrap a module you will get a random amount of parts between two set numbers so they will not always give you the same amount every time you scrap them.

A slightly easier way is to sell planets and artifacts on the forums for CTP

You really arent able to get them besides Rouge Tech Collectors, The lowest NPC to drop them Im not sure of, I think its Yahnosh Shadin Hacker. But the first Elite NPC you see are Lazuli Factory Complexes at level 60.

Nope, I'm sure the lowest is the TO Battle Cruisor that drops the harmonic pulser. I scrapped one for 22 CTP.

I mean Boss or Elites that are alerted.

T.O Cruiser. They are rare, i have only seen one, it is very difficult to collect tech parts at low ranks, a majority of the modules you obtain, you should install into your ship rather than scrap it. It gets slightly easier at around rank 150+.

I am rank 77 and have still never seen a Lazuli Factory Complex - or any other rare/Elite infact - on my own battle tab
I also get hardly any uncommons - common after common after common, with the occasional uncommon. I can sit and kill multiple commons in a day and still not seen an uncommon

Lazuli Factory Complexes are shareable down to Rank 50 actually.

Anyway, you should consider joining another legion then, SDdesign. We have Lazuli Factory Complexes shared almost every single day, along with at least three other, better Elite NPCs.

Thank you for the invite Annabell, I am very happy in and with my legion though. They do share a lot, including Elite's

What I meant is that I personally have not had an Elite appear on my battle tab. I have ranked up a couple of times since that post (now 80), and last night, finally for the first time had an elite: Svax, Stryll Punisher. It was the first Elite I have ever personally gotten. At one stage I had a run of 18 commons in a row. I usually get about 8 or 9 commons before getting an uncommon

And I'm still too low to see any elites... ftl. Rank 49 though, so not too long.
