the study of using super-sonic waves to distort matter at very strong levels of gravity unlocks building super-sonic minefield module sonic wave emitter's sonic wave emitter 600 damdge 700 for gas and oceanic

I don't mean to rain on your parade too much but the research cost for one tier of this suggested tech is nearly 90 times all of the research PSICore, the player at the top of the research leaderboard, has ever done. Not to mention that sonic based weaponry would be completely ineffective given the lack of particles to carry the sonic vibrations in space.

Yea I didnt think of that when i suggested super sonic weaponry but , it would be effective on planets = More Invasion Attack. But I disagree with this as well because of the massive research

I suppose it could be a planetary invasion weapon, you could maybe have it double when doing invasions against gas or oceanic planets. This seems much more like a mission drop now with my suggestion.

Something like: Mission: Hypersonic Attacks Recently, we have received many attacks on our colonies from an unknown source. They appear to be using a new form of sonic weapon to incapacitate any defenders, and they're becoming a big problem. The only good is that they are systematic with their attacks, and we can predict where they'll strike next. Intercept them, and salvage this weapon.
On completion, gives battle with a Hypersonic Speeder: High Hull Low shield Very High attack Low defence
Drops: Hypersonic blaster, gives +50 attack for 20 space, bonus doubles for planetary invasions, bonus triples for invasions on gas planets.
This is just something I've thought up in two minutes. It's late for me now.

This is just something I've thought up in two minutes. It's late for me now. It shouldnt add attack bonus, only Invasion Attack probably 100 for 20 space and doubles on gas and oceanic planets.

From a pure Physics standpoint, Sonic attacks work very poorly in space. Contrary to popular belief, sound does travel in space. It just takes an incredible amount of energy for very little effect. For those who don't believe me, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heliospher ... tion_shock That said, here's an analogy for you Sonic is to Quantum Energy as _____ is to TNT a) A Nuke b) Nitroglycerine c) Gunpowder d) CO2 cartridge e) a fart the answer? F) none of these things. Even a fart is too close. Sonic and Hypersonic effects are measured in miles or kilometers per hour. Lasers are light based. Light moves at 300,000 km per second. There is no way a sonic attack is going to come close to doing more damage than a Quantum weapon, never mind anti-proton weapons or the pseudo science "Quasi-Chaotic force". If you want a weapon better than that, you'll have to come up with a Sci-fi-ish way of say "Ass Pull God Weapon."

That's why planet invasion is the new focus for this. Sonic attacks would work best against gas planets (lots of particles), and they would affect people who are defending the planet.
