Ships should get a small positive or negative attack bonus according to their battle rep for a example -5% ATT laughable -3% ATT passive 0% ATT for reg 2% ATT for menancing 3% ATT deadly 4% ATT and 6% ATT insane. This would only be natural since a insane killer with hundreds of kills wouldn't even think of disabling another ship. While a laughable rep would be quivering with fear and hesitantly indecisive.

Because that's how it is in rl, the more you kill the better you get. Also it would give the laughable reps some initiative to better their rep and respond to disabled. Also this would bring wars to a entire new level has more focus is bought on forcing the enemy to lose the attack bonus. Also it isn't much, just something players will focus on more to achieve.

i wouldnt mind a small boost to my ship from my rep. id also like another level above insane. so many people have insane its not even special anymore. there should be another level for 640 positive kills.

exactly. its incredibly easy to pvp before rank 100. and because of the amount of semiactives and multis at that level, there isnt much retaliation. therefore, anyone whos actually tried to get insane rep has it by rank 150. at rank 350+ where i am, most players are at a minimum of menacing (those that arnt laughable or feeble that is) and at least 1/4 of my battle tab are 'insane' people, but some more than others. i think there are enough people with a high kill count to make adding another tier worth it. and, if dan has another name in mind, then a title for those that have 1280+ positive kills. considering this is only really the top 20ish of the leaderboard, this would really take some doing and would be rewarding for the few players that get this status.

honestly, i dont think it would make sense to add an attack bonus to npcs and not pvp if its gained through pvp. imo it should either be pvp only, or a universal bonus. If an attack bonus isnt in the books for future implementation, i think there should be an xp bonus gained through pvp based on your battle rep. +- 2% per level. same as the attack bonus, but this wont really change anything. it will either make you level slower, which youll be accustioned to doing if your mission oriented and have a laughable rep, or it will make you speed level, and rank you past the 'easy targets' on the battle tab.

I was thinking about how stupid this is...(mainly because I don't PVP and I have laughable status)......then it hit me! How about we get rid of the punishment for not being a PvP and always having your ship blown up? So no punishment, but rewards for PvP?
Somehowe this really does not seem fair to give rewards to players who focus on PvP.......

if instead of an attack bonus its just an xp bonus applied to pvp (like i suggested) then it wouldnt matter what your rep was. you wouldnt be pvping anyway. and if you did, you would get as much xp as youd get from a mission (still about 2-3x ratio) as opposed to players with stronger ships who naturally get around a 4x return on their attack (i normally hit ships for between 16-20 xp per shot)

I used to think the same about pvp, dont get me wrong, I responded when I was disabled but thats the only time I attacked anyone. Then I was promoted to leader and I responded to every legion alert, the more I fought the better I became and I now know that pvp is a very important function of the game. Also the 5% cut isnt that much out of 20k you will either lose or gain 1k attack.. I also recommend that you get your battle rep up, since it will be much harder to in the future and most of your options will be shut down, with laughable rep..
