Dysons are not the only planets that can be colossal in size.

Requirements:

1) A Very Large icy planet.
2) A Quasi-Spatial Expander artifact.
3) A Mass Surface Melter artifact.

Procedure:
1) Use the Quasi-Spatial expander on your icy planet. Note: Remember to use this artifact first as this artifact can only transform a planet to a limit of Very Massive.
2) Use the Mass Surface Melter artifact on your now Massive Icy Planet. Note: This artifact adds 2 points attribute to each resource. (e.g. rich becomes Extremely Rich or Extremely Rich becomes Mega Rich). This artifact also adds two points to size attribute (not one!) (e.g. Small to Large or Very Large to Very Massive).
3) Enjoy your new Rare Colossal Oceanic planet.

Unfortunate the one I experimented on has mediocre resource stats.

I already had a plane for this. Though as rare as said items are (I have had one terraformer which I used for the quest and an expander that I am keeping for said mission). You can easily have a mega rich X17 resource Colossal planet or close if you plan it right. Using the terraformer and expander artifacts till you nealy max or max out each one. The using the melter.

Might take a year but getting a realy big, realy good planet is not hard.

you can even go to 81 space planets using 2 expanders. Check the big CC spenders and you will see alot of these planets made.

How? Very Massive is 69 spaces, and expanders only expand planets up to very massive, so how is 81 spaces possible?

I suggest you go hack Mister #1, half of his planets are sized 81. all terraformed to 15x Mega rich and full of Stellar engineering buildings (+10 res structures). But shhht, that's a secret.

I understand the trick in the first post making Colossal planets, but it only works on Icy planets. You guys are implying it works on other planet types (not counting Metalic), which is what I don't understand how that happens.

Most of their Icys comes from legion and then they pay to get them 15x mega rich space 81 full of nice structures.

The first post explains it all... If you want to use CC (Credit Card), just buy the items you need, instead of waiting for them.

Dysons are the best planets in game. They are ALWAYS collasol sized(which used to be the largest) and ALWAYS had over 10x mega rich, usually much higher. only 9 I think have been found(not including the watermelon Dyson spoonyjank found lol)

Dysons are delicious, they also have custom names.

Anyone who wants to use quasi-expanders (off artifact shipments), I suggest you to save up to 10 to have ability to create a Dyson planet rather than wasting it on icy planet unless you already have Dyson made.. Just an advice.. Just be warned.. Hoping for quasi-expander is like winning a lottery.. I had gotten just one off artifact shipment in my life even though I have 2k artifact points per hour production. ;( Quasi-expander cost 6k AP..

The ice-melter will make your planet 'peak' when you use it.
