If you spend badges to scan but don't lock put it onto an available selection list. Don't just lose the scan and badges ...

The badges are spent in the scan. Think of it like this, you goto the store and you buy something from the MYSTERY BOX! It costs 5 dollars. You spend the money and he opens the box and you see its a useless piece of junk so you say no thanks.
You paid to look but you didnt like what you saw, you cant ask for your money back but you also didnt want what was in the box so now your out 5 dollars and whatever was in the box.

if you accidentally click outside the scan window before your legion leader says click lock... or if the page refreshes automatically while you have the scan window up, i agree those times the scan window retain the scan you had...

but on lock, everyone's scan window should lose whatever scan they had last.... dan has already said that you have to use the scan or lose the scan... there will be no saving a scan for the next battle

Perhaps scans could work like alerts in this case?
Scan a base and it is saved as a scan for 15 minutes or so. When going to scan you should be able to see any legion mates scans as well as their time remaining on the scan list. This would allow players to scan multiple bases and pick the best one to hit.
Or would that be too much?
