Why not have new content on both server

How is starting over on a new server at rank 1 not doing it all again? ... and yeah many have, check with them.. everyone I talk to later regrets it.

Doing everything over to get on top... hmmmm. I think to most the actual "playing" of the game is what makes it worth it, and the family feel you get/deep friendships after years of time spent together. You want to get on top?.. spend lots of GP and join the Dysos, that is a proven plan that works.

As Dan slowly brings in new content... well if he did not have to deal with a new server and all that comes with it he could bring the badly needed content in a whole lot faster than slowly.

Bring us together... see above, new content.. faster... grow the game.

GL TOS states you may only have 1 ship in GL. If you make another ship in a new server you would still have 2 ships in GL and would be a multi violating the TOS . Lets just work on getting new content here and stop trying to push the issue of adding another useless server .

Not talking about resetting when you switch servers..No one wants that..Who is talking about heaving accounts on each server?
We all know that's against the TOS..

All I was suggesting is think of the possibilities with 2 servers.. Like I said start reading the posts from the beginning..

Starting out at rank 1 is for all intents and purposes a reset. And if you get to just jump servers and maintain your current setup, how is that going to improve the current situation of little to no content for higher ranks?

At least it will give us something to do = Fight for top spot, Exotica, more planet scans, base locking on both servers and so on..cause they way we are now there is not much to do Darth except keep suggesting on the forums and heaving this type of conversations

That's exactly why Dan needs to concentrate on making what he's already got, better. Why in heaven would he create a second server with the same faults as the one he's already got? That just makes no sense whatsoever.

Hope this would make some sense since there has not been any new content besides the GTC in months...

1. There is hardly any new content (that kills the interest of player to keep playing the game)

2. Server split would be great..as ppl moving servers they would like to become top legions which = more interest in the game since we don't have new content..

7. Mento will have his own server and will follow where ever the Dysos will go (Dysos will stay where they are including Mento)

12. Knights and CN will move and have exciting wars on the new server and actually kiss and make up form one strong legion with a sister one behind them..
or 5 ships from each legion will go and fight each other while the rest of the legions just play as business as usual

Still a big major NO, stealing people from this server to populate a new server would kill this server as I have said all along. More content here is still the better idea.

Gotta say a big no to a new server. While I agree that there are some benefits to a new server, the fact that it would essentially kill this server outweighs any of those benefits.

How would you guys know it will kill the server..

Was it done before? and did not work?

Did you participate in any other games that killed the original server?

In my previous post I have mentioned about my experience with a different game that actually worked 200% for the better for Everyone not just the TOP legions.. (at least Im talking about from my personal experience and if you want to check out Conquers Online and see for your self but must warn you developers there are very greedy)

Given the type of game this is, one where people spend lots of money and play for what is in many cases years, creating a new server would definitely kill this one. I've seen it happen in games that play similarly to this with a user base like this. A new server will bring new and low rank players over to it. Further stagnating this one due to a lack of growth in it's player base. When only the mid-high rank players are left here, they'll get bored and either quit or move (reluctantly) to the new server because that's where the new players are going.

Not to mention having a new server means double the work load for Dan which means we're going to see even less updates. A new server is a lose lose situation for everyone.

Conquers Online was one of the best game ever.It had mabye a hundred servers and none of the servers ever died.(I was in Lucky7 and fire)

Yes, about the tenth time conquers online has been mentioned, we know. No one likes the idea but you and junior, pls drop it now.

This is the stupidest idea ever. Whats to stop people from leaving this server going to the other one. killing this one. Dan will lose way more then what he will gain. Why not just make this one better.

If you had a choice which server you played and you could only choose one I probably wouldn't touch the new one. If you could play both I might do I'm not sure. But still I don't now if this is a good idea or not, there are a lot of Pros and a lot of Cons.

Cons: everyone moves there and this server dies, Dan slows content to keep bot running (I don't honestly see it why this would happen, he can just have the exact same code for both) and bandwidth problems. O Potentially a violiation of ToS multis? I don't think it would count since they are not interacting with each other...somewhat of a desperate reason.

Pros: New place for newer people to strive, resetting for old member who have nothing better to do on this server, but w/o giving up all they have worked for up to now (maybe a stall tactic for new content to come out), and testing grounds for a different build, scan/cloak formulas without ruining your other ship. Maybe even make a few new friends in a new legion.
