Like I said if you could play the new one without having all the work, time and effort you've put in for the old one for nothing then I'd be fine with it, if it came down to a direct choice I would be one hundred percent against this idea.

New servers should only be considered when one is being overwhelmed by players and the player base is expanding constantly.
Never when the oposite is hapening. I agree it would kill GL.

like few ppl already mentioned to keep one server alive you need constant flow of new members. Starting a new server would cut off that flow making the old one slowly die

so -1 to this idea

how about instead of new servers have alternate dimensions? you can conquer big dimensions with a legion and smaller dimensions by yourself and they provide ship bonuses or will debuff your ship randomly, there is know way of know and is based on rank and ship strength?

I'd like a server that resets every few Months. Just so we can all go crazy.

The server processes requests fine. It's the general Internet that lags. The closer you are to the server, the faster (albeit by only a few milliseconds) your game-play will be.

-1, Why is it this is always brought up by a low ranking player that is frustrated at the fact that it will take so long (if ever) to get caught up with the older players? Other people started before you did and you will just have to deal with that fact. If you are motivated and active there are ways to catch up if you really want to. If you cant get ahead here you wont do any better on a new server.

Sorry, but the fact that we are all in one big galaxy together is part of what makes this game great.

So what that Dysos have a monopoly, they earned it. They are not invincible, no legion is.

Dan is working on high end content as we speak.

Also this would make sense comparing it to any games "worlds", the server at rank 1-300 is overpopulated, once you repair you get killed by 2 or 3 different people on the instant , no matter what your stats are

I have absolutely no idea where you got that info from, because I can tell you now, it's not true.

To me the fact there has been this much discussion about a 2nd server proves to every GL player that Dan is not creating enough new content daily/weekly to satisfy the most important of players, and if i myself don't see something to work towards i myself will give up on this game. the holiday events have been pathetic, the fortnightly missions during have also been useless. no one high level (800+) is the new race due to what it is, the only reason is because of the not knowing what the reward is. The only reason I will keep playing this game for is if something big happens that will make me want to play. Dan please do something so many great players are leaving this game is turning to a game that matters only about when you started playing!!
